Rating: Summary: Shocked by the Power of Great Music Review: Kylie has made an excellent DVD! She has different kind of clothes (maybe 7 or somethin') Well, she hasn't only se*y clothes (Spinning Around, Physical etc.) but she can also wear really beautiful clothes like in the first four tracks. She has good clothes in every tracks and especially the music video "Spinning Around" which made her famous again, is very very hot and spicy!I like this DVD, the tracks are very good performed. There's good dancers and also backstage footages! Very good material indeed! Kylie sings also the classic songs like "Put Yourself in My Place", "Hand on Your Heart", "Better the Devil You Know" etc. The new songs and old classic sound good together. Maybe the only bad thing is that there's no "Loco-Motion" and the classic track "I Should Be So Lucky" is very short and peaceful. I recommend the DVD "Live in Manchester". It has those songs very good performed! Especially "Loco-Motion". The Track list: Love Boat Kookachoo Hand on Your Heart Put Yourself in My Place On a Night Like This Medley: [Step Back In Time Never Too Late I Wouldn't Want to Change a Thing Turn it into Love Celebration] Can't Get You Out of My Head Your Disco Needs You I Should Be So Lucky Better the Devil You Know So Now Goodbye Physical Butterfly Confide In Me Kids Shocked Light Years What Do I Have to Do? Spinning Around +promo video "Spinning Around"
Rating: Summary: Kylie At Her Best! Review: Kylie is an international superstar only just being discovered by the U.S. Her music (sadly) has never really caught on here. This concert was surprisingly released in the U.S. after the American success of "Fever" and "Can't Get You Out Of My Head". That is when I bought this. Right after "Fever". I had no idea Kylie's career kept going after she had that one little hit with "The Locomotion" way back in 1987. This concert opened my eyes to Kylie and really made me go back and find all her albums. "Live In Sydney" was made BEFORE "Fever". Most of the songs preformed are from the (BRILLANT!!) record "Light Years". Only knowing about two of Kylie's songs, I was really disappointed at first. I didn't know any of the songs and everything seemed really campy and over the top. Guess what? THAT was the point! "Light Years" was Kylie's come back album and this concert was her first after a string of disappointing career moves. "Live In Sydney" is one of the BEST concerts ever! No joke. Kylie's singing (all live!!) is on the money and the girl can dance. Once I put this in my dvd player, it never came out. This concert made me a Kylie fan for life. If you liked "Fever", that's just the tip of the iceberg. Go out and buy this DVD and find all of Kylie's albums. You will NOT be let down!
Rating: Summary: PERFECT CONCERT! Review: Kylie is at her best here! Her singing is great, she looks great, and it is pure fun. The crowd is crazy and you can tell they pump her up. Rating: Summary: Better The Kylie You Know! Review: Kylie Minogue is so marvelous in concert that us Americans should be begging for a US tour. She couldn't have gotten more creative after naming her tour after one of her hits aptly titled "On A Night Like This". This concert is a timeline of Kylie's singing career. Kylie goes through all her hits a most of her "Light Years" album. She does a medley of fantastic cover songs such as "Celebration" and several other great hits. The worldwide hit "Can't Get You Out" was introduced during this concert. Kylie also does a performance of "Your Disco Needs You" which is by far one of the worst songs I have ever heard, but be that is of may, it's different and creative. Kylie also does a ballad/up-dated version of "I Should Be Lucky" which is superb. In addition, Kylie does an updated version of "Better The Devil You Know" which compared to the original is by far much better. Kylie goes on to sing yet another cover song, "Physical" originally performed by Olivia Newton John. Kylie's version of "Physical" is the turn point in the concert and everything from here on out including the dance moves to the songs become more sexual. Kylie does her own solo version of "Kids" being that Robbie Williams couldn't be there to perform the duet with her. Light Years is a great song to end the show with and the dance moves, outfits, and scenery is extremely creative and memorable. With one last surprise she decides to sing two more songs before ending the show and to my surprise the last one was "spinning Around" which is by far one of Kylie's best tracks ever. This DVD also features the video for "Spinning Around" and if you are asking my opinion, I think it would have been an excellent single here in the United States. See what you have been missing out on in the past 15 years of Kylie's career and check this out.

Because i was at the actual concert when it was recorded, sitting towards the back (im at the back because in the 10 mins i was on the phone to get tickets, all 7 concerts in Sydney sold out!!) and i wanted to relive such a wonderful night. This concert and Kylie Fever are her best, speaking from 1st hand experance in the audiance. How to sum up Kylie: Live in Sydney?? If you have the DVD or when you purchase it. Pay attention to the the song "Shocked" -watch out for a young girl about 8 yrs old in a pink top.. her Facial expression says it all!!! with mouth and Eyes wide open, she looks like shes about to jump out of her skin with pure joy and excitement! This DVD is a must! here is what some leading Aussie news papers have to say- "To the delight of the screaming crowd she sings her latest hits, including her number one single Spinning Around. Its an intoxicating mix of pop, cabaret, camp, glitz and glamour and adoring crowd - Throngs and throngs of Gay men, Couples and teenagers Lap up every single foot-tapping minute of it. Kylie is in her element, revelling in her status as the Queen of Pop - a Woman at the Apex of her Career" - Daily Mail "...Tonights show scales heights of theatrical aceness...GENERATION K..has glimpsed heaven. And, that is just slightly wonderful." NME "...If her sell-out concerts and stunning performances are any measure, Kylie's Pop Crown looks safe for many years to come". Sunday Mirror. "..As well as a formidable singing voice, she has a personality all her own, and its shines best amid Hi-NRG beats, Sliver tassels and six inch stiletto heels...its Riotous fun...a fantastic encore..has the audience screaming themselves silly" The independant. and i would like to say- "Buy this DVD and become apart of Generation K, and Enjoy the Experiance which is Kylie, The Aussie Diva. " - Me :-)
Rating: Summary: Kylie Delivers Review: LIVE IN SIDNEY provides ample reason as to why Kylie Minogue has transcended producer trappings and risen to her current role as an international icon. It's easy to see why much of the world has been so enamored with her for nearly a decade and a half now,and also gives proof that those Madonna comparisons aren't so far off the mark.Though she might not tear up the floor dancing like Britney or Janet, she also doesn't rely on a vocal track or lip-snyching to get her point,or her performance, across. She's in fine vocal form here, reeling off tracks from her supremely fine comeback LIGHT YEARS, as well as her classic anthems--highlights include'Hand On Your Heart'(a personal favorite),'Put Yourself In My Place',a rousing rendition of 'What Do I Have To Do',and nearly everything from the previously mentioned LY(particularly 'Butterfly','On A Night Like This', 'Spinning Around', and the title track). The only downside to the evening is the utterly unfortunate-looking costumes that her poor dancers have to wear--everything from football shoulder pads to something resembling sweat pants. If you can overlook that--and it is on occasion hard to--you're in for a terrif performance from one of pop's best.

Rating: Summary: There's nothing wrong with having fun. Review: One thing i love about Kylie is that she always seems to be having fun, unlike some other pop diva who shall remain nameless in her constipated uptight cult. Kylie has an easygoing "girl-next-door" personality that makes her very accesible. Her songs are very catchy and filled with hooks, although to american audiences the songs are basically new since they weren't hits in america. The concert is very high energy with lots of choreography, Kylie does a great job singing live. Among the highlights are the very catchy "ON A NIGHT LIKE THIS" and "HAND ON YOUR HEART".The DVD also includes behind the scenes footage and a video for "SPINNING AROUND". Highly reccomended for fans of dance pop music. EP
