Rating: Summary: A Really great Video Review: I think that this was great Video and I believe in the message and not the product. Martina is a strong advocate for all those things in society today that need to be dealt with. As a reminder for those who did not read the Editoral Review, let me help you decided to get the CD, or video, if you want to hear the music and can see what is going on then get the CD, if you just have to see the video because you don't have a clear idea of what is going on get the video, if you want both then go wild. But I persoanlly feel a mesaage like Martina's is worth more than the product. You just can't rate how well the message which Martina speaks about wether there is a good or great. A product is merely the pyhsical the message is the power. I affrimly believe that music is not just for pleasure it is a messgae. If you are looking forward a great video/cd here it is well money spent. Remember you can't measure any message by any value. Critisize the cover the pakage but enforce the message(in Martina's case).
Rating: Summary: Excellent DVD if you're a Martina McBride fan, but..... Review: I thought this DVD was excellent and would recommend this to all of her fans. However, I wish they could have added the songs "Valentine" and "Wrong Again" to her greatest hits.
Rating: Summary: Coolest Martina McBride Video so far Review: It has all of her best hits and videos on one DVD. It also has her CMT video bio on there. If you love Martina this is a must have.
Rating: Summary: "Ms. Direction" Review: It's very disappointing that the DVD and the CD of the same name and cover image do not contain the same songs. The two videos I most wanted to have - and which are two of her best - are not on the DVD. "Where Would You Be" and "Concrete Angel" are omitted, along with "Strangers", "Valentine", "Happy Girl", "Wrong Again", "I Love You", "There You Are", and "Blessed". The DVD does contain two additional songs not on the CD. I bought the DVD based on the strength of the CD. It's very disappointing that the same name and cover image were used to obscure the fact that the DVD does not contain the same songs! I enjoyed all the videos on the DVD, but really feel short-changed by the marketing sleight of hand.
Rating: Summary: Sadly missing her best and biggest work! Review: Missing some of her biggest hits and best videos, not the least of which are Valentine, I Love You, Cry On The Shoulder Of The Road, and Blessed, which had to be in the can before this DVD was pressed. Hopefully a reissue later this year will correct such a glaring oversight as the absence of these tracks!
Rating: Summary: Missing A Video Review: Now don't get me wrong. The dvd is awsome, but why make a greatest video hits and not put all the greatest video hits. The video "I Love You" should be on the dvd but it's not. It's an awsome too, it has a video, and it's on her greaest hits cd. So, I give this dvd four stars out of five.
Rating: Summary: Where's the ego Martina? Review: The DVD was incredibly insightful. It depicted, in some cases, the personal motivations that Martina had for performing the video. In addition to her inspirations, there were examples of her creative frustrations with writers and producers. Very stimulating narratives abound. But Martina...where is your ego. I am also a vocalist, and one who considers you the hardest working performer today. No ego, just energy. Buy the DVD. Oh, by the way. Just one plea...release the Valentine video. It was the theme for my wedding to my beautiful wife. We danced our first dance to Valentine. Please release it soon. We love you.
Rating: Summary: life story? Review: The songs were great, I really enjoyed this video, the only thing that has stopped me from rating a higher star was the fact that I feel there could have been less talking about the songs, I really don`t think we need to now the life story of how a song comes to be.I would buy more of Martina`s work providing there is less chatter.
Rating: Summary: A must for any Martina McBride Fan Review: This DVD contains just about all of Martina Mcbride's videos, covering all her albums. The DVD has great video and great sound. The special features includes the ability to hear Martina talk about the video before each video and a Discography with links to play the videos for the songs on the albums (if one of the 11 videos on the DVD) The videos are My baby loves me Life #9 Independance Day Safe in the arms of love Wild Angels A broken wing Whatever you say Love's the only house When God-Fearin women get the blues The Time has come Cheap Whiskey There are a few tracks from her greatest hit album that do not have video and are therefore not on the DVD.
Rating: Summary: International Review Review: This is not a region 1 only DVD, it's region 0 (all). The sound is only PCM stereo, not Dolby Digital 5.1. But besides this, is still a great DVD from a great singer.
