Summary: Amazing Band! Amazing Performance!
Review: Except only six songs, all the other tracks of this dvd were new to me. That means I was not a huge fan. In spite of it, I really liked this title because all songs were great and am watching over and over as a BIG fan. Each member of the band is wonderful and amazing especially in playing the instruments. Having not a digital surround system, I enjoy PCM stereo, which too is superior in sound to any other dvd I've ever listened. Like the previous reviewers below, I am sorry this misses some "important" songs including "One Of These Night", "Heartache Tonight", "Lyin' Eyes", and "Take It To The Limit". Could I believe they were saved for next time (like "Hell Freezes Over AGAIN")?

P.S. In the end credit which provides some short notes for the songs played, I read also about "The best of my love", which probably was supposed to be included. Where in the world was the nice song gone?

Summary: What a shame, no Dolby 5.1.
Review: Talent outstanding. Audio fair

Summary: Untrue to Their Roots
Review: As good as the production of this set is, I was truly disappointed that so much of their earlier music from the first three albums was omitted. "Lyin' Eyes" and "Take it to the Limit" were most notable and not a single cut from one of the Eagles' best albums, "On the Border", was performed.

Summary: Excellent Work lots of favorites
Review: DTS makes a big difference on this DVD if you have the DTS converter. Great sounds really surround you. Much better than the sound of the CD. Hopefully a lot more concerts will be coming out in the DTS format. Would be great for CD's as well

Summary: Impressive reunion!
Review: While I grew up during a time when the Eagles were at their peak, I have never been a die hard fan. I had low expectations for what I thought would be a collection of aging rockers, looking for another payoff. The show(s) focused on most of their great material, as well as some newer songs. It surprised me as to how well they did both with the vocal harmonies and the accompanying guitar, drums and keyboards. The orchestra used on some of the songs was pleasant but IMHO not necessary. Regardless, I sat mesmorized for the entire show, letting the sounds roll over my body and stirring memories from the past. The DVD sound in DTS is incredible. You are essentially there. I found myself increasing the volume on each song in my desire to get more. If you have any affinity for the Eagles material (especially the slower ballads) you will love this DVD.

Summary: Wonderful DVD! DTS is awesome!
Review: I've always been rather 'ho-hum' about the Eagles, but this DVD changed my mind completely. I bought it because I wanted to listen to a DVD using the DTS decoder on my new audio system. Not only was I seriously impressed by the Eagles' crisp, sharp, and tight performance after all these years, but the overall mixing and superb audio quality (with the DTS 5.1 channel recording) had me standing in the middle of my living room with my mouth hanging open for half the performance. Needless to say, I'm now a firm believer in the Eagles and the audiophile quality of a good DTS recording like this.

Summary: Great DVD, better if avail DD, wish tunes wd go away
Review: I'd rented this via Netflix and watched/listened to it with the PCM track a few times. The PCM Stereo is excellent straight, or even via Prologic.

I have two complaints: 1) As good as the sound and story are, I wish I could hear it in 5.1 Dolby Digital (if this trend were to continue I will have get DTS capabilities); 2) I sent the disk back to Netflix after a full week of being unable to get the tunes or images of Hell Freezes Over out of my head. Scary.

Review: I DISCOVERED THE 'EAGLES' WHEN I SAW THIS VIDEO. THEIR MUSIC IS SO ELECTRIC, EXCITING, AND HAUNTING. AND ALL ORIGINAL. LOVE THEIR SOUND, AND HARMONY AND GREATLY RESPECT THEIR TALENTS AND CONTRIBUTION TO MUSIC. LOVED 'IN A NY MINUTE'. BLESS EM!

Summary: Music *****; Performance ***1/2; Warning: Limited DTS Audio
Review: A little warning to those new to DVD: You may have noticed two versions of this DVD. This particular edition does not include the audio output for the DTS stereo. What do I mean? You will only get the DTS stereo audio if you are connecting your audio via the Optical Digital Output of your DVD player. Otherwise, what you get is PCM stereo. It's OK, but not what most of us want. Take it from the voice of experience; click on the "Click here for more technical details about this edition...", under "Edition Details" and check out the Available Audio Tracks of both editions.

Otherwise, the music is great, but the band doesn't seem quite as tight as one would hope. Overall, and based on the music and the performance, I'd give this title four stars.
