Review: I first saw this video while getting my locs twisted in a natural haircare salon. I was mesmerized. I immediately came home and ordered it from Amazon.com. It is wonderful. I play it when we have company as a nice, sensual back drop for the evening.Very Deluxe!

Summary: Live?-Don't You Believe It!
Review: I work in the production industry, and I can tell you - this is not a live recording. It is quite apparent that what you see on the screen is NOT what you hear from the speakers. Does this mean I don't recommend this DVD? Well, I was a little disappointed at first... But, the music score is well done, and it's fun to see Sade and all her excellent musicians. I just think of it as having a collection of MTV-like videos. They're pretending to be performing live. I have been in a few "mock" audiences myself. The music played through the PA speakers, and the band members "lip-synched" as if they were really performing. We, in the audience did our best to act as though it was a real concert - all for the cameras. If you're OK with a "pretend" LIVE DVD of Sade, then buy this. But, if you want a REAL LIVE concert caught on DVD, then this is not for you.

Review: For any SADE fan, this is a must for their collection. If you are deciding between the Live concert or the Life,Promise,Pride,Love, choose this one. The live show demonstrates her talents musicaly and on-stage presence. You are better off listening to the CD's if you pick the collection DVD, unless you want to listen to it in DD5.1. I was a bit disappointed with the DVD with regards to the transfer. I was fortunate to have seen this same concert on Laserdisc about four years ago, and I seem to recall it to be much brighter and more vibrant in color. Never the less, it is still a must to buy for a SADE fan. Also pick up her new release Lover's Rock, which is also fantastic.

Summary: Great Sade Concert!! Make Your Own Sade Live CDs!!
Review: The new 'Sade Live' DVD is great!! The band played well & Sade's vocals were better than I expected.Her background singer Osbourne is very good too!!If you were lucky to get a rare copy of the 2 CD Edition of 'Lovers Rock', you will notice that the 4 live tracks on the Bonus CD come from this same concert, which was only on VHS tape recently!!! ... At any rate, get the 'Sade Live' DVD, and if you have some extra money, get her music video compilation also on DVD.Peace, Sean Davis

Review: This is a MUST SEE for any Sade fan. Her band is out of this world as is her stage presence. The entire 90 minutes is not enough, she deserves another 90...... You must buy this concert!

Summary: Replace your VHS version for the DVD immediately.
Review: If you own the VHS version of this show and own a DVD player, you need to replace the VHS version with the DVD version immediately. All the flaws of the VHS version are eliminated in the DVD version. The VHS version is dark and at times unwatchable whereas the DVD version captures the darkness in a way that makes it more realistic. The VHS version is simply too dark an it makes watching more fatiguing. Not so with the DVD. You can see the band, Sade and all the background. Not only is the picture much brighter, smoother and grain free, it also features near reference standard 5.1 Dolby Digital sound. You must hear it on a fairly decent system to appreciate it. Naturally, Sade performs, but you appreciate her better in that the DVD version shows her and the band much more like real time.

Review: I couldn't wait for Jan. 23,2001 so I bought the 2 Sade DVDs (Sade Live & Life-Promise-Pride-Love) from Sony Music Europe. One word: EXCELLENT!

Review: Sade and her band never fail to put on a good show. I never get tired of watching this video. It's one of the best performances I've ever seen. I've never gotten to a real Sade concert, but watching this video will make you feel like you're there, like you're right in the front row. There's always a lot of action. You can tell that Sade enjoys performing. I can't wait until Sade goes on tour again because her performances are off the chain.

Review: Sade is stunning....electrifying and powerful. Never in my life have I been so captivated by a live performance video. Her band is also brilliant. In addition to being talented, they are also very attractive and stylish people. Most importantly though, above all the style and glitter the music riegns supreme. I cannot wait for her next CD, concert and tour. But until then I continue to allow this video to amaze me.

Review: This is truly one of if not the best videos I have purchased! Can and will not ever tire of listening to this Diva! She is fantastic in every way! Excellent video, highly recommend this to your collection. I only wish I could see her live in concert! Sade...please come back!
