Summary: Great Concert
Review: This was the most succeceful tour in hip-hop history, now even I know why. This DVD features the 2 hour concert with behind the sceans intermission sequances. There is also about 30 minutes worth of other behind the sceans extra stuff. If you are a fan of Snoop Dogg and/or Dr. Dre, you must get this DVD, If you are an Ice Cube fan, but not a big Dre/Snoop fan, you may be somewhat dissapointed because Ice Cube gets less attension in this concert than others. If you are an Eminem fan, and ONLY like songs like "The Real Slim Shady", don't buy this, youll hate it. In other words, Snoop and Dre get the most attension on this video, and if you are a fan of them, youll love this concert. One last thing, on a parental rating system, I would rate this NC-17, so if you are easily offended, dont buy this DVD. The reason why I rated it 5-stars, is because I loved this show, and for under 20 bucks, its a great bargain.

Summary: A Showcase Of The World's Hottest Label - Shady/Aftermath
Review: A great purchase for those who favour the best of the rap music scene featuring great live performances in 2000 from a list of hip hop giants including Dr Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube just to name a few. The DVD not only features the concerts themselves but backstage and on the road footage of the rappers fooling around, including a lot of weed smoke from many of the dressing rooms. Not only this but other extras include photographs and interviews with the four main rappers. A brilliant sound - this is an unforgettable DVD even if you weren't with the crowd.

Review: This is a great DVD for those who (like me) love Gangsta Rap/Hip Hip. Dre, Ice Cube, Snoop Dog, Eminem, Mack 10, WC their all here baby. However, my one big disapointment with this 'Up In Smoke Tour' is the almost minor role given to my main man, Ice Cube. I mean, he only performes 4 of is tracks while Snoop, Dre and Eminem get the chunk of the limelight. Whats that all about? It aint fair for us Cube fans. Because of this, I have decided to give it 3 Stars. But Buy It anyway and check out WC's C Walk (It almost Steals the show alone).

Summary: Whoa.
Review: This is by far the best concert video I've seen so far. From Ice Cube (w/Mac 10, Ren, W.C), Eminem, Snoop, and of course, Dr. Dre, every set is flawless, and 'glossily' well shot. There's even a short film sequence in which Dre & Snoop hook up with some pretty...(ahem) ladies, and get involved in a liquor store shoot-out. There's plenty (and I mean...plenty!) of random women flashing near the end of the DVD, so 'Amazonians', be warned if you're offended by that sort of thing. Other aspects of this DVD that I enjoyed were the behind the scenes segments (i.e. cockroach on the restaurant wall), and the Detroit Controversy bonus segment (that was deep)...Anyhow, I am extremely happy with this purchase. The "Up In Smoke Tour" DVD is truly the total package. Congratulations to Dre, Director Philip Atwell, and the rest of the Aftermath camp for making hip hop history with the tour...and this DVD. Review: Man, I have to tell you people, there isn't many dvd's out there that you can keep checking out often, whether your kicking it by yourself, or having some of your boys over. There can be made an argument that the new Beasty Boys DVD(criterion collection) is the ultimate party dvd, and you wouldnt be wrong for saying that. But, The Up In Smoke Tour dvd is unbelievable. I dont remember ever hearing a live show sounding this good. The sounds are clean and crisp, and the 5.1 mix is dynamic and surprisingly directional. The rappers here are at their finest, and man Snoop is cool. Note, that the material is raw and mature, so if your not into the material, steer clear of this dvd. But, get your groove on cause this is one unbearably cool dvd. Its all good, and clocking in at over 2 hours, behind the scenes, awesome short film of Dre and Snoop, at least 20 live tracks from the tour, great video, amazing 5.1 track, and Cube, Dre, Eminem, XZ, and Snoop at their best. Worth every penny. Now get off your rumps and get it, and then try wiping that grin off your face. Your in for a treat, trust me on this.

Review: Ice Cube, Eminem, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg are together in this show that'll make you sing, that'll make you laugh, tha'll make you enjoy rap as much as you do.
If you are a hip hop fan, I don't have to say how much worth this DVD is... Ice Cube (I didn't know him before this DVD) introduces himself in a very cool way, with a bunch of cool songs. Eminem (the reason I bought this DVD) doesn't have that big production, no big introduction, but his songs are great, mainly from Marshall Mathers LP album (The Real Slim Shady, Criminal, Kill You, Marshall Mathers...). And then you can check out Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, two hip hop legends, together. This is the best show I've ever seen.. They have an intro video (who was banished from everyone under the age of 17) which rocks... I can't even describe.
The image is great, cameras change quickly... It's like a 150 minute videoclip. The 5.1 Surround Sound is awesome too, you feel like you are in the middle of the crowd, seeing these hip hop legends singing. Plus there are lots of backstage scenes, so you can see what stars do backstage...
It's explicit because there is a lot of cussing and a lot of naked women. Just that...
The extras are mainly the trailer, Snoop Dogg talking, you know, nothing big.. But just to watch this show is a reason to buy it. Highly recommended. Five stars, extra fun for hip hop fans, lots of fun to non-hip hop fans.

Review: If you was one of the unlucky ones that couldnt get tickets to one of the hottest rap tours ever, This DVD is the next best thing.. It puts you in the front row to one of the most exciting one of the most elaborate stage shows ever staged.. The DVD takes you on a 2 hour musical experience unlike no other you would witness in any genre of music.. The DVD also includes some behind the scene with the artists to give it that close and personal feel .. The Sound and picture quality is superb.. The Concert was film in Boston, Mass but there as other footage from other cities on the tour dealing with talkin with fans, People that work behind the scene during the tour etc.. All n All gives you a very in-depth look of the tour and what goes on behind the lights and music.. Highlites of the DVD Dr. Dre/ Snoop and Eminem.. Ice Cube portion of the DVD is also pretty good .. If there is a minor criticism to this DVD it would be that some of the performances were shortening.. But nevertheless if you are a fan of Dre, Snoop, Eminem, Ice Cube this is the DVD to get.. If you were lucky enough to attend the show you want to relive the excitement get this DVD you will not be disappointed

Review: Ok, first off, I have to say that I was a bit surprised and shocked at all the female nudity in this DVD...so just to warn anyone who is offended by stuff like that, you might not like this. Other than that, the DVD rocks and I would still recommend it to others. You definitely get your moneys worth. It's well over 2 hours long, with lots of bonus features and behind-the-scenes. More Em & Cube would have been nice though. As stated in previous reviews, the 2 second cuts do exist, however most of them are well timed and flow together, creating an animated, action style. Don't let that discourage you from purchasing this DVD. Sit back, relax and enjoy!!!

Review: It's hard to understand how these very clever, very articulate, very savvy gang-types can couch their arrogant drivel into long strings of huff & puff rhymes, dip & bop on stage, and then get glamorized and idolized.
It reminds me of the phrase "The whole world may embrace a purveyor of nonsense, and yet his spewings are still stupidity."
