Review: This DVD ROCKS! It's an awsome concert! i wish i could have been there but even so everytime i play this dvd (which is all the time haha) i feel like i'm there! it's well worth it's money so i recomend everyone buy it!

Summary: The best stereo demo for your friends
Review: This has EXCELLENT audio. The songs just have a huge kick to them. Is there problems? Of course. Out of the entire "All That You Can't Leave Behind" album, 7 are played here. This gets a little on your nerves. Personally, I could do without maybe 3-4 from that album. Where's "One"? "Mysterious Ways"? "Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses"? "Pride"? "Even Better Than the Real Thing"? "Hold Me Thrill Me...."? While the setlist is great and a lot of memorable moments (I dare you not to crank "I Will Follow"). And the audio is spot-on, despite the fact you can't really hear Bono's guitar except on Walk On and Kite. Also features a great acoustic rendition of Stay(from Zooropa) that probably equals or bests the original. While some tracks are missing and Bono's voice going a little bit off on some songs, it's still a great demo to show your friends how sweet your stereo sounds.

Summary: i have mixed feelings
Review: first off, let me say that on whole this dvd is not great. as a matter of fact, with less than stellar performances,song selection, and extras, it's downright bad. you're probably asking why i rated it so highly if i don't even like it. well i'll get to that later. i'm gonna take it song by song:
elevation: i like how they start out with the house lights still on and then bring them down later on. but bono's singing here is less than inspired. particularly on the second verse.
beautiful day: i really don't like this song. it's given an ok performance here.
until the end of the world: a pretty good song from my fav u2 album. it sounds great here. faithful live rendition.
stuck in a moment: seems to be lacking something live but it's stil pretty good.
kite:this song is just beautiful,from bono's speech before to the edge's slide guitar.
gone: great song from pop. given a faithful performance here.
new york: in black and white so it harkens back to rattle and hum. ominous in light of what happened a couple of months later.
i will follow: nothin much to say here, this one's always good.
sunday bloody sunday: pretty standard performance here, with bono singing "get up stand up" to spice it up a bit.
in a little while: sentimental and a great tribute to joey ramone.
desire: cool rendition with the audience singing loud.
stay: i confess i don't think i've ever watched this one.
bad: it's great to see this back in the setlist. it's a great song.
streets: ok this is the song that makes this a 5 star dvd. bono starts singing the chorus to 40 and the heavenly keyboard sneaks out from nowhere and it's a borderline religious experiece to behold. this is worth the price of the dvd alone.
bullet the blue sky: a pretty good intro leads into quite possibly the worst performance of this song i've ever heard (well, second worse after the popmart video) this is just uninspired and terrible. it doesn't sound like bono is even trying.
with or without you: despite the fact that it isn't given that great of a performance it is still great for some reason.
the fly: this is the best song on the dvd,performance and intensity wise. it is also my favorite u2 song.
wake up deadman: i never really liked this song but it's starting to grow on me.
walk on: a great emotional closer to the set. don't look for too much by way of extras. sure there's and entire second disk worth of stuff but none of it is terribly interesting. and it would've been great if the entire show had been included on the dvd.

Summary: Boston Symphony
Review: Quite simply, the best U2 live DVD to date. Whilst not as conceptional as Rattle & Hum, the choice of songs is good (no Pride), the Edge and Bono are in fine form (although Bono is a little shaky at first) and the the DVD sound mix is outstanding. Perhaps its biggest feature is the excellent sound quality. 'Stay' is just fabulous, so to is 'End of the World' and 'Beautiful Day' A friend back home rates it as the best live DVD he's seen. I have to agree.

Summary: A must have for all U2 fans!
Review: Great video! The only thing I could do without was Bono's occasional curse word or too, but I guess that can come to be expected. Just beware if you have little ones that you would prefer not to learn a new word or two.

Summary: It's U2's Concert Masterpiece!
Review: Shot over 2 nights in Boston just months before 9/11, this concert is unlike any I've seen on DVD. As noted in the "The Making Of...." on the main concert disk, this show is shot and edited as if it were cinema. Brilliant editing. But it's not a movie. It's a true live concert, just filmed with a vision for something entirely different. The entire show was set up for the purpose of filming the show. The sound is great in any setting - 2 channel, Dolby DTS and 5.0. You will be drawn into the performance of Bono, The Edge, Larry and what's him name. ( Just kidding). Great song selection. The staging is stripped down compared to some of the other live shows filmed in the past but is still awesome. I wasn't much of a fan of Zoo TV. The two disk set is also designed to see what it took to film this event. You can watch the show and hear the direction coming from the truck in one channel. Great if you're into that kind of thing. Just love this concert. A must buy and an honest 5 star DVD.

Summary: Fragments
Review: Fragments...the best way to describe this DVD. The third leg of the Elevation tour - performed in the fall of 2001 - was very different to the first leg performed in the spring. The 3rd leg took on all of the emotion of the 9/11 attacks, and U2 did an heart-wrenching job of uniting our emotions. Unfortunately, this DVD is from the first leg (i.e., pre-9/11). Much of the content of the 3rd leg is missing. And unbelievably, "One" is missing from the DVD setlist. Is "One" a song that is just so sacred that it will never be shown? I also agree with other reviewers around the country who have complained that this DVD is disjointed and fragmented. It is little more than a collection of photographs set to music. It is by no means a view from a front-and-center seat with a start-to-finish view of the concert.

Summary: best dvd in my collection
Review: This is hands down the best live concert music dvd I have purchased thus far. You don't have to be a U2 fan to love this dvd. The surround sound and the video are excellent. This dvd puts you right in the middle of the concert. The smoke filled air, the crisp sound, the way Bono interacts with the crowd all give you the feeling you are right there.

Review: Never mind are you a U2 fan. Never mind are you a Rock music fan. Are you a music fan?? This dvd is music at it's best; most inspiring, most moving, most invigorating...bottom line, its most FRICKIN MIND BLOWING. I defy anyone out there to tell me a more awesome 30 seconds of music than the intro to "Where the streets have no name"!!
Having seen the Elevation gig in three different cities, this dvd is a truly great memento of a truly legendary band. The greatest in the world at present.

Summary: This is Excellent U2
Review: I thought this was an excellent DVD. If you're a U2 fan, you will not be dissappointed with any of it. The Band powers their way through some of their greatest hits to date. Elevation songs are great and the classics are performed to perfection and witnessing this dvd with a home entertainment system can explode adrenaline into your veins . The pins and needles pore over your body as Bono holds hands with a female member of the audience while doing With or Without You. Another great moment grabs you when Bono explains how he sang the last song Joey Ramone ever heard (on his deathbed). Bono explains the impact the Ramones had on U2. In a Little While just past Bad as my favorite U2 song.
