Summary: Make a connection with a great band.
Review: I like plenty of other music and artists, but this band and thus this recording is truly something special. The band and audience enjoy and respects it's ability to inspire one another. They thrive off one another to form what I describe as "U2 arena culture." Rare find in just a band, captured on video, very well recorded.

U2 - Elevation Tour 2001 is a combination of old and new material. The new album material is good enough to be interwoven with the classics. The 2nd DVD included is a great bonus. Like getting a completely different concert, with many other angles of DVD 1, plus a lot of bonus matter.

I thought Rattle and Hum was pretty excellent... this is better. If you are still contemplaning buying this DVD, STOP... buy it, you've already wasted to much time considering missing out on something special.

PEACE on Earth.

Summary: Great! But where's the rest?
Review: I was very excited to get this DVD because the tour was fanatastic. I figured it would be very nice to drop the DVD in whenever I wanted to remember what the tour was like. I was a little disappointed to find out that Mysterious Ways, Pride and One had been cut out of the performance. I'd love to know why they decided to eliminate those songs.

Summary: Essential addition to any U2 fan's collection!
Review: What a way to feel as close to the band other than being there LIVE than to have this video visit from Elevation 2001 Live from Boston! The band rocks as they always have and always will, performing the favorites plus All that You Can't Leave Behind as well as working the crowd in their typical U2 Mysterious Ways! Bono completed the performance with his usual Blessings and thanks to the Almighty and to the Band and fans. This one is a must have for all U2 fans!

Summary: The extras alone are worth the money!
Review: I must say, I am not the biggest U2 fan out there. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE their music, but I don't have all their albums, and heck, I don't know the lyrics to all their songs. However, Elevation Tour 2001 is the greatest music DVD I have ever seen. Not only do you have the first CD with the Boston concert well worth the money containing 19 tracks (including "Beautiful Day", SWEET!!!), but the second CD contains the concert to be watched from 3 perspectives: 1: The sound and cameramen room, 2: The audience, 3: The stage. It also has various other live songs from other concerts, including my favorite, "Beautiful Day" done on a rooftop in Toronto (though I believe it says Dublin on the box). Plus screensavers, a making of video (30 min.) and a music video-ish look at the concert being set up, performed, and taken down fast forwarded into about 5 minutes. Truly amazing.

As for the music, it is all fantastic performing. The Edge has his chops down, Bono jumps around and SHOWS his singing and is DEFINITELY a showman extraordinare. I did not see as much as Adam as I would've enjoyed, since I always had the feeling that he is way underrated. But you could hear him... you could hear all of them well. Frankly, I have nothing else to say that if you love U2, or at least "ATYCLB", PICK THIS UP. You won't regret it. It is worth its weight in gold.

Summary: WOW
Review: To date the best DVD experience I have ever had. I have seen this concert live in person 15 times and this DVD brought back every memory. The only thing different I would have liked to see is this DVD have One as a track on here.

Review: This concert is simply fantastic. The band's playing is great and Bono's voice is impeccable. The show itself is modestly beautiful. It's not on the same level as Zoostation, when comparing the degree of technical productions. The video shows Bono's connection with the fans as well, which is always intimate. I definitely recommend this video to anyone.

Summary: Best rock show to date
Review: The money I invested in purchasing this video title was very well spent! The whole performance is ELECTRIFYING and Bono's performance spectacular especially those earlier hits such as the highlight of the show " I will follow"! Superb.

Summary: Great
Review: This is perhaps one of U2's best shows since over the top Popmart.
Though it is not the whole show(why?) the fans know the songs but would've been nice to see them in this new atmosphere. I don't now if there are any hidden features, but it's doubtful. Let's hope they release POP from mexico and Zoo from Aussie. Why they just included teasers from these shows is beyond me. That was like torture. Just when you get into the song it's cut off. But I guess it's better than nothing. I saw U2 4 times and this don't compare to actually being there, but it catches the vibe they give off and what the audience gives back. Read the review from the Guy from Texas. he sums it all up. I was at the Jersey show after the WTC tradegy, it was a very emotional show. It shows they care, they acutally went to Ground Zero and saw the rubble. Well this is turning into a U2 fan testimony instead of a review, but get the Dvd it's great; too bad it is not the whole show!! Walk On U2!!

Summary: Awesome!
Review: This is very close to actually being there. I saw U2 three times during the first leg of the elevation tour, once in Milwaukee and twice in Chicago. A few songs were not on the set list @Boston that were played in Chicago. But the song "Bad" is probably my favorite U2 song. One of their best live videos yet.

Summary: Amazing Live DVD from an amazing live band!!
Review: The u2 DVD "Live in Boston" concert is incredible. I knew, ofcourse, the group was going to put on an amazing show as they always do. But the thing that impressed me about this DVD the most was how well it was made. I think the production and directing of it was amazing, they seemed to have just enough close-ups, just enough shots of the crowd going wild, just enough shots of the heart-shaped stage and the great lighting that lit it up. It was so well done it seems as if you were at the concert, and the emotion that u2 brings to their fans at their shows you can feel in your TV room.

I think this is a must-have for all u2 fans, I say pay the money just to watch "Where the Streets have No Name," that performance itself is worth the 20 and change. The DVD comes with some good special features as well which you should definetly check out.

Now, my one negative comment about the DVD, which is why I rate it a 4 star instead of 5. The track listing. Although the concert was incredible and they gave me some good surprises on the DVD (i.e. "Wake up Dead Man" and "The Fly"), where is "New Years Day" and "Mysterious Ways?" I believe they played the latter at the Boston concert and they cut it out of the DVD. Why? I went to the D.C. and Baltimore shows this summer and I thought "Mysterious Ways" was one of the best songs they did all night (especially with what they did with the lighting and backscreen). And they didn't put my all-time favorite "ONE" on the DVD, which I think is a mistake.

Despite that, the songs that are on this DVD are great and every u2 fan should get their hands on this DVD. It is something you can watch over and over again. Everything about it says masterpiece. The words, the songs, the crowd, the stage, the group. Everything about it says U2.
