Rating: Summary: Amazing... Hail the Queen of Lip-synching!!! Review: I am sure that all the performances except a few songs were lip-synched. I think she actually sang only "Wishing you were somehow here again", "Music of the Night" and "Time to Say Good-bye". You will notice it easily if you compare the difference of the sound between those three and others. Obviously, lip-synched songs sounded very weak lacking "her spirit". "Deliver Me" is a clear example. It even made me laugh.(Look at the choir who don't seem like as skillful as Ms. Brightman in lip-synching!) What a disappoinment!!! I don't understand why she chose that way. Maybe she is too old to actually sing many songs in a row before audience without technical support. Ms. Brightman, I don't want to see your appearance, stage manner or dancing. I just want to see you sing with your passion communicating spiritually with the audience. If you can't sing, simply quit singing, please...
Rating: Summary: Amazing, just amazing!!!!!! Review: This was one of the most amazing shows I have ever seen.I only saw it on TV, but was truly thrilled. She has the most wonderful voice, and her ability to switch from Pop to Opera or combine both in one song is not only beautiful but clever as well. That's her power. I have the La Luna show as well on DVD, and can't wait to go and see Harem World Tour Live, and Marshall, lighten up man!
Rating: Summary: SARAH IS ELEGANCE PERSONIFIED Review: First of all, who is Marshall Fine? I guess he is built like a young Arnold Schwarzenegger. Sarah is not only not "pudgy", but has a lithe, graceful figure to go with her angelic face. Mr. not Fine needs glasses. Those who compare her to Madonna don't recognize class when they see or hear it. Sarah has the amazing ability to sing both pop and opera. She goes out of her way to please her fans by giving them more than just a concert, but an eye-pleasing theatrical fantasy. And isn't fantasy what Eden is about anyway? Who has ever really been there? Sarah shows us a piece what of Eden could be through her superb performances.
The filthy cine-curmudgeon guy, which (...) Princeton University says means "a crusty irascible cantankerous old person full of stubborn ideas", who said, "...no one with that voice, still magnificent even at the beginning of its decline, needs to do the (...) to sell her sound.", seems indeed quite sick. After reading his indecent, tacky excuse for a review of Sarah's Eden (which he is not worthy of reviewing) I reported him to Amazon for using profanity. I hope they remove his offensive, sleazy so-called review.
The talented Sarah Brightman is truly a Diva in every sense.
Rating: Summary: An excellent show Review: Not sure what's torturing Marshall Fine or the cine-curmugeon, but I couldn't disagree with their nit-picking more. This is really a good show. Marshall, you may want to avoid piggy-backing your opinion on the basis of a few old farts in the audience sitting on their hands - they look like beer-bellied skid-markers who probably were dragged out by their wives. Anyway, Sarah Brightman is one of the world's most gifted voices and this is one of her best shows - a really nice mix of pieces in this concert and her singing soars. How can you bitch about what she's done with "My heart Will Go On"? If the Italian lyrics knock you off your moorings you probably need an oil change or at least a genre change. It's a beautiful rendering. The whole DVD is outstanding = 5 stars for Sarah. her other DVDs don't come close to this one in my opinion.
Rating: Summary: Fab!! Review: Just watched this concert and thought it was excellent. I'm new to Sarah Brightman, and I bought this after watching and loving her La Luna concert on DVD (which I think is the better concert). This is almost a 'try out' for that wonderful show (many of the ideas are built upon and improved in La Luna), but that's not to say that this isn't wonderful in its own right. Great vocals and beautiful imagery throughout. I must write that I was disgusted by the Amazon reviewer Marshall Fine's comment on Sarah's 'pudgy build' - what does that have to do with her show? It was reading that ridiculous and offensive statement that prompted me to write. Would he comment on a male singer's build or hair or face? For the record I thought Sarah incredibly beautiful and the choice of costumes throughout the show was great. As for Fine's comment 'cross between Stevie Nicks and Madonna' - well, I have no idea who Stevie Nicks is, but I'm a big fan of Madonna and saw little comparison save for the occasional topless male dancer. This show is for fans of Sarah Brightman and she won't disappoint. If you are looking to buy your first Sarah Brightman concert on DVD I would definitely recommend 'La Luna' first though. For me, La Luna is perfection. Sarah Brightman is a truly unique talent doing her own thing and loving it, and providing us with a lot of entertainment in the process.
Rating: Summary: Marshall Fine's Editorial Review is "Out-to-lunch" Review: Marshall Fine Editorial Review is clearly "out-to-lunch". Sarah Brightman can sing me to sleep any time. Her voice is angelic and I would shadow her door any day.
