I also met her backstage and she is such a sweet person. It was such a dream come true to meet her. I am counting the days until this video is released so I can watch it over and over. I only wish she had sung "Deliver me" but with this video, I can see it as many times as I choose.

Rating: Summary: sarah brightman has the voice of an angel Review: I'm not sure what this video is, but I believe it is the newest concert of Sarah brightman. premoting her newest album, Eden. I have seen the video of Deliver Me, and it is taking place at a concert. It is stunning. Anyone who has heard the name of Sarah brightman needs to get this video, along with her other concert and her nine other albums which can be found for cheap prices on the internet. It's just a matter of spending the time to find them. plus they're are the musicals. Phantom of the Opera, Requeim, and Nightingale which is new. Never has a voice such as hers been heard before.
Rating: Summary: It's better than the first one, baby. Review: Since Sarah Brightman is my most favorite female singer, I HAD to get this video just when I was about to get sick of the album "Eden," good as it was. Filmed on location at the Superbowl in Sun City, South Africa, the concert does appear supernatural in some ways. The first two songs (In Paradisum and Eden) were a kick-off, as was "Who Wants To Live Forever?" My favorite parts in the concert were: 1. when Ms. Brightman spoke of the time Ennio Morricone (who wrote a music piece for "The Mission") refused then finally relented to give her permission to turn that piece into a song; 2. the excellent special effects during the trio of songs from the "Dive" album; 3. the "Phantom" sequence; and 4. the number with the Kwantle- Ga Africa Choir. All in all, better than the first one.
Rating: Summary: Lavish costumes, brooding sets and great songs... Review: "One Night in Eden" combines several different Sarah Brightman albums into one performance, including songs from Timeless ("Who Wants to Live Forever"), Dive ("Dive," "La Mer," "Captain Nemo"), and three songs from Phantom of the Opera ("Phantom Overture/Little Lotti," "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again" and "Music of the Night"). The rest of the selections are from Eden, Sarah's 1998 set of classical crossover/cover songs that included "Dust in the Wind" (Kansas), "Il Mio Cuore Va" (James Horner/Celine Dion), "Eden" (Hooverphonic), and a number of classical selections ("Anytime, Anywhere" from Albinoni's Adagio, "Nessun Dorma," "Lascia Ch'io Pianga")."One Night in Eden" presents us with a lavish staging that is full of dark atmosphere, especially in the opening numbers, complete with hooded dancers and gothic costumes. The selection of songs was excellent, combining the best of Sarah's works in recent years. I particularly enjoyed the selections from "Dive" as Sarah rarely performs her early albums. The sound and picture quality were both crystal clear, with sharp colours and good sound mixing (unlike some issues with the Sarah Brightman La Luna VHS). If you are already a Sarah Brightman fan or are just starting out, "One Night In Eden" is a wonderful concert with many memorable moments, and a look at Sarah Brightman's beautiful soprano voice and her ability to easily perform both classical and pop. Tracklisting: Introduction/Bailero, In Paradisum, Eden, So Many Things, Who Wants To Live Forever, Anytime, Anywhere, Lascia Ch'io Pianga, Nella Fantasia, Nessun Dorma, Dive;/Captain Nemo, La Mer, II Mio Cuore Va, Only An Ocean Away, First Of May, Phantom Overture & Little Lotti, Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again, Music Of The Night, Deliver Me, Time To Say Goodbye, Artist Interview
Rating: Summary: Regarding the rude comments of Marshall Fine Review: Marshall Fine is just a jerk for the sake of being a jerk, I enjoy Sarah Brightman's performances when I have a chance, the fact that like most woman, sometimes put's on a few extra pounds, has no bearing on her talent and the fact she is still a pretty lady. Sarah Brightman has many fans like myself and is happy in her private life, like I'm sure Marshall Fine would stand a chance, so quit being so angry and if you can critique something in her performance, leave her and the fan's of Sarah alone.
Rating: Summary: CAN I recommend this or what? Review: I got this Sarah Brightman concert on video after the 1997 one. Having seen it, I only want to say that there are certain points that get kind of annoying, like "Anytime, Anywhere," on which the Latin rhythm track overtakes the poor girl's voice. Also, on "Nella Fantasia," she tells everyone the trouble she went through just to get it recorded, but I won't get into that. Jeepers, Sarah! You don't have to tell the whole story on how you got to get the song recorded! And that sexy bella-donna dancing she did during the title track. A "classical" girl isn't supposed to go around dancing and dressing sexy. And "Nessun Dorma," which doesn't sound like she's singing it live. At least the orchestra doesn't drown her out there. Look, I know Sarah is a versatile girl, but WHY does she have to wear that microphone thingy on her head and dance across the stage? It all reminds me of the Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync concerts I've seen in which they do nothing but sing and parade across the stage just to put on a "show." You don't see Phil Collins doing that, he plays instruments during HIS concerts. So do Billy Joel and other "real" artists. Even Andrea Bocelli standsstill during HIS concerts, and at least HE puts on a show. Sorry for raining on your parade, I've spent SO much money on Sarah's stuff, it's unreal. I WISH Bocelli would get more tour dates for the 2001 Spring Tour than the very few he has. :(
Rating: Summary: Gothic Diva bathed in red lights! Review: Hi again Brightman fans. I'll make this review short. The video is badly recorded at some parts, yet her repertoire is perfect. Sarah sings songs from "Eden", "Dive", "Time to..." and "Webber". The 1st half of the video seems to be more gothic and sensual, as we hear Sarah's angelic voice swathed by the more relaxed orchestra. She comes out in black accentuated with chrome accessories, while drowning in electric candles & miles of red sheets. She has adopted the gothic chic, crooning at times in her bel canto style. I like it! Along with her amazing voice, Sarah sings her program with emotion and ease, soothing her audience's suspense. The program sort of balances itself by changing from pop to classic after almost every song. I call it the chasing effect. By the time Sarah reaches the song "Nessun Dorma", she changes the mood immediately, going from flowing white sash to siren of the sea in "Captain Nemo". We don't see as much of the audience here, as we did in her first concert video. I don't find as much excitment in the audience this time, either. All the material here is great, except for the sound in "Nella Fantasia" and "Lascia chio pianga". I played with the stereo for a sound check, but soon learned it was the same for every TV I played it on. All in all, the video is good. The selection is of good thought. Go buy the video.
