Summary: Incredible!
Review: This DVD has got to be the defacto standard of 'getting it right'. I'll get to the perfomance in a second, but the quality of the audio and video coverage is astounding. YOU ARE THERE folks! If you don't have a decent system with DTS, don't even talk to me! You cannot appreciate the effort that went into mastering this DVD! A meticulous labor of love, I am sure. Now, the performance: If your an Eagles fan, and you don't own this DVD, your not an Eagles fan! These guys did not perform like a bunch of aging rocker's trying to prove that they 'still got it'. Folks, they STILL GOT IT! Every track is memorable. Henley's vocals, Walshes guitars, and the harmonies! OH! The harmonies of the Eagles!! From the opening of Hotel California, you will be emotionally captured by this DVD. That's a fact.

Summary: Eagles - Hell Freezes Over DVD
Review: This is the best concert DVD I have experienced. The DTS version brings this show to life better than any other concert DVD I own or have seen. I make nearly every guest in my house experience at least a couple of songs. Crisp, clear, defined and smooth channels lure you to crank it up. Of course, I don't want to forget the music, these guys are tremendous artists. Enjoy.

Summary: Best DVD Out There
Review: When reviewing a DVD, I think you have to look at two things: one, the quality of the content and two, the quality of the video and sound. This DVD easily gets five stars on both counts. As far as the content, the Eagles after fourteen years apart, sound as fresh as they ever have. At times the performance is stunning. The harmonies are rich and tight. Don Henley sounds very strong and Joe Walsh sounds as good as I've ever heard him. They sound happy to be back together. There was the statement that Henley made a few years previous that they wouldn't get back together until hell freezes over. I just love the idea of naming the show and tour after this. After viewing the MTV special from which this is taken I immediately went out and bought the cd and then was one of the fortunate ones to see them live on the tour. The hefty price for the tickets was more than worth it. The cd version is slightly shorter than the TV version. The DVD is the version out with the most tracks plus an audio only track, the new song, Seven Bridges Road. There are four more additional new tracks. The video portion is very well done. It has adapted well to DVD. The sound is in DTS 5.1, so if you don't have a full digital DTS setup on your audio system you are missing out big time. This is the best sound I have ever heard for any live musical performance!! The clarity and crispness are simply amazing. This is all around the finest DVD concert out there. Nothing else even comes close. This is a must have and should be the first DVD you ever buy!!

Summary: My Opinion on this Eagles Video
Review: I like this concert video of the Eagles alot, but only on VHS because the sound quality on my DVD version is poor & whoever heard of having to use a DTS decoder just to watch, and listen to a DVD perfectly, which gets very costly!!! I also am curious why "Hell Freezes Over" is the only video that the Eagles put out on DVD? I've thought that they would put out a collection of their classic music videos on DVD & VHS as well!

Summary: One of the best bands ever!
Review: Awesome DVD! The DTS sound is amazing. You can clearly hear every single instrument, yet they blend together beautifully. The video quality is outstanding also. I have a 53" TV and it is almost like actually being there live. The band is awesome, no other band is so tight musically. The vocals of each band member are perfect. The harmonies are outstanding! I bought this concert on Laser Disc seven years ago, and now own it on DVD. The Eagles sound as good in this concert as they ever have throughout their careers. A must have for all music fans. On a DTS system, the bonus track "seven bridges road" will blow you away. Turn up the stereo and Enjoy!!!

Summary: A fine wine...and then some
Review: This is proof that somethings get better with time. I have always loved this timeless band but husband was not as thrilled that I purchased this DVD. His statement was "Who wants to see a bunch of old guys screw-up old songs--LIVE" So it sat in the wrapper for some time until one lazy weekend I just couldn't wait any longer. It was amazing! I was just planning to listen to it as I cleaned-up the house, but there I sat eyes glued to the screen. My husband who heard the music in the other room, joined me and he couldn't believe how great it sounded and looked. I hosted a book club and put the DVD on for background music (the book's setting was in the 70's early 80's) we didn't discuss the book that night--we watched the Eagles and talked of memories instead. My husband now takes this DVD to work with him when he knows he is going to have a late night--to keep him inspired.

Summary: A Must Have
Review: Absolutely the best DVD I have ever heard or seen. First of all you start with a great band and great songs. Then you combine it with the best production of any DVD and you have a standard that makes other DVD's seem ho-hum. The sound is perfect and demonstrates why DTS is the only way to go. The camera work is fantastic, the up close shots are so clear that you feel you are right on stage and part of the band. The song list is great and the arrangement of Hotel California is classic. If you missed the concert then this is the next best thing and you can play it over and over. Can't wait for their next one.

Summary: If only Amazon have 6 stars to rate this album.
Review: I would say it's one of the best interms of both movies and music videos in my dvd collection so far. Infact I upgraded my amplifier from AC-3 to DTS because of this DVD. The sound track is very discrete for this DTS format. Very well recorded indeed, even my wife and kids who were not musically inclined, appreciated this album, can you imagine? Only one minor fault, I found that the song "Take it Easy" was getting a lot faster when come to ending, wondered if it was geting out of timing or did it on purpose.
