Summary: All tracks seem to be DTS, what's everyone taling about?
Review: When I heard this disk for the first time, it just blew me away. This is the first disk that I have purchase that was encoded with DTS soundtracks. I too am now spoiled and vow to buy DTS versions on all my upcoming DVD purchases. I read a bunch of reviews stating that only the last track was DTS encoded, but my DTS decoder was the entire time. Am I wrong, but it seems to me that the whole disk is DTS and not just the last song. This is an amazing disk to show off a good system. I definetly recommend it as a purchase. I never knew the human how good my speakers could sound. After all, the best test of a good system is the original production of the human voice.

Summary: This isn't DTS
Review: I was looking forward to this disc until I tried it. While it really is a good quality disc, only one track was recorded in DTS. I don't think it justifies the monicker or the extra expense. Both my player and receiver would display DTS/DD playback. I thought it might be my equipment, so checked the fine print and only the last track, "Seven Bridges Road," is recorded in DTS. The rest wasn't even DD. Ironic that someone could comment on the how others aren't capable of appreciating DD/DTS when he wasn't listening to either.

Summary: Hey, if my 11 month old daughter likes it...
Review: ...then who am I to complain? ; - ) I've never been one of Don Henley's biggest fans, but I've always really enjoyed most of the Eagle's music over the years. Anyway, this video (I have the VHS format), is actually quite interesting if you pay close attention to Henley's facial expressions, and how the rest of the group really do a fine job with tunes that they must have played at least a million times. They seem to be actually enjoying their work with a good measure of sincerity, instead of just "playing another gig" - and that comes through as an overall excellent show for the audience.

The selection of songs is pretty good, although we obviously can't have everything in one show that they've recorded over the years. My faves on this video are ""I Can't Tell You Why", "Heart Of The Matter", and the version of "Hotel California" is really nice, as it's done acoustically. For example, the intro with the bajo and tumba congas on a good sound system sounds great. Also, the addition of the symphony orchestra to fill in the gaps and to add color and nuance to the music was a good idea I think, and worked well.

I was skeptical at first that this vid would be just another ho-hum rehash of an older 70's band trying to cash in on their name and former glory. And maybe they have - so what? But, Tim Schmit (MY favorite Eagle, by the way), Glenn Frey and the rest do a bang-up, albeit 'low-key' performance in general. Joe Walsh seemed bored at times, until he got to jam out with that Telecaster on "Life In The Fast Lane", which was a cool jam!

Only criticism: the crowd noise was TOO LOUD between songs. Many music video's are the same, and I wish the producers would change that practice in future releases of any "live" concert video's. Hey, I'm sure we can all realize that it's a concert we're watching, and shouldn't have to run to turn down the volume control each time a tune ends!

Overall, a great film of a great band.

Review: The best sound DVD I have heard without really being there in the live audience

Summary: well done...
Review: This is the new standard in concert videos. You select a small group for an audience and place them in a studio with all of todays digital equipment and let the band play their music. I would like to see more bands follow suit. Some of the stuff out there is trash...

Summary: THE VERY BEST OF
Review: A great band for a beautiful music and a big show , long live to the Eagles . I show that video to all my friends and they are so astonished with sound and quality of the band. My favorite music video with Eric Clapton Unplugged.

Summary: Watch out - DTS on 1 track only
Review: DTS is only on 1 track, and my player couldn't play it. Your mileage may vary. Overall quality good even without DTS. Love the orchestra.

Review: I don't have the Dolby Digital version to compare it to, but this one sounds great! Check out the audio only track - Seven Bridges Road. Simply amazing.

Summary: Excellent reference disc for DTS audio
Review: This DVD is my favorite reference disc to show off my DTS audio system. The Eagles have never sounded so good.

The program itself is the same one that aired on MTV back in 1994. Image quality in the beginning (behind the scenes interviews) is horrible. I was worried the whole DVD would look this way, but once the concert started, the quality improved dramatically.

The audio is the best thing about this disc. The DTS audio track cannot be rivaled by any other DVD I have listened to. The stereo track is decent as well, but I got the disc for the DTS track.

There aren't any extras on this disc, except for the interviews in the beginning and a DTS only song.

Bottom Line - If you like the Eagles, get this disc. If you have a DTS sound system, get this disc to show what DTS can do.
