Review: Simply But Great. For Those Who Are Asking Why This DVD Edition Shows a Little of Chuck Berry, Little Richard, and the Rest of the Guys?, BECAUSE This DVD Is Like a John Lennon's Tribute. That's it. You Don't Need to Find Another Answer. The Producer Just Wanted to Reproduce a Lennon's Performmance and He Did Well. John's performance is Outstanding. Eric Clapton, Klaus Voorman and Alan White Make an Excellent Job. Yoko?, Yoko Who?, it Doesn't Bother Me and It Does't Have to Bother to You Too. You Don't Buy This Item To See Yoko, Don't Pay Attention to Her. She Disturbs a Little but Just Get Focus on John. I Agree With the Other Buyers that This DVD Would Get Better if You Could Get the Whole Concert. But It Didn't Happen, You Can't Change it, you Can't Help it. Have you Seen his performance at Madison's Square Garden in '72?, There is Yoko Too. Don't Pay Attention to her, just Enjoy the music.For This Festival Celebrated in 1969, The Guys of the band Did What Lennon Says at the Beginning : "... Do a few Songs You Know, 'cause We've Never played together before ...". In My Very Own Opinion, They Didn't Do a Real Concert, Really. It Was Like a Practice in a Stage, I Mean a Practice, Alive, at a Stadium and in Front of a Big Audience. For me looks like John Repeated What He Did With Paul, George and Ringo, When They Played at the Roof of Apple Records. Like a practice, Ok?. Don't You Think So?. I Bought Once This Record as a Long Play Vinil Named "LIVE PEACE IN TORONTO 1969" in 1987. I could Never imagine That This Video Could Be Rescued and Preserved Digitally. We're Going Next for Beatles at Shea!.

Summary: Not so sweet...
Review: The camera work during the filming of this simply horrible. Don't get me wrong, the picture is very clear, but the camera is solely focused on John's beard. Whoever did the editing for this filming sure found it more amusing to focus on John's face rather than a long shot of him and/or the band. To add insult to injury, Yoko is a complete joke. All she does throughout 2 of the songs is screech or scream. What was Lennon thinking? The ONLY reason I give this title 3 stars is for John, Eric, and the band.

The film documents one of the best and most feral rock concerts ever given. Lennon's performance is raw and exciting. And, if you've ever doubted Lennon's estimation of "Don't Worry Kyoko..." as one of the best rock songs ever, you must see him and Clapton getting into a fine guitar groove that works like a mantra. And the live version of "Yer Blues" is as exciting as the performance in the Stones' "Rock and Roll Circus" (not to mention "Cold Turkey"! This is a classic moment in rock history that testifies to the power of Lennon and the Plastic Ono Band. Don't miss it! I waited years to get this DVD. It rocks.

Review: This dvd was good except John forgetting the lines of the songs Money, Dizzy Miss Lizzie, and Give Peace A Chance. He did do a good job on Cold Turkey except he got one line wrong and he did good on Yer Blues. I don't know about Blue Suede Shoes because I haven't the real song of it

Review: This is a Great Rock-n-Roll DVD which shows as much as things change good Rock-n-Roll when done right is always good. Great 50's acts Bo Didley, Little Richard and Chuck Berry deliver the goods.Its them at their Best..and John Lenon and The Plastic Ono Band with Clapton is the Birth of these great 50's Icons, put on a equally rocking set..Loose,Spontaneous and John's FantasticRock-n-Roll voice as you expect it..Fierce and Growling..The Best Dizzy Miss Lizzy you will ever here..A heavy grooved Money with some great Clapton (yes which could have been miked Better but his Playing overcomes this flaw}..Cold Turkey with that junkie urgency ,yes and Yoko's goat voice works..it is at least entertaining..But her Solo songs..are not very good..John was so Natural and loose, chewing gum while he played, he made it look easy.Yoko must of said to herself I can do this to, look how easy it looks...She was wrong..Listen to the band behide her Clapton gets off some good licks and its always interesting to see our Hero John look lovingly at his musical protoge..They say Love is Blind..well it must also be Tone Death..Back to the DVD,
The editing is very 60's but contributes to the feel the colors are bright and the sound is what you got if you were there sometimes good and sometimes lacking..But the performances are indeed really historical never the like of to be heard again.
Buy this DVD and see why John said "Rock n Roll..You should have been there"...here's your chance.

Summary: Yoko Blows
Review: This is an interesting DVD. It starts out with a few peformances from classic rockers like Chuck Berry, and then Lennon takes the stage along with Eric Clapton on lead guitar and Yoko on annoying squawks. It is cool to see Lennon on the stage at this point in his life, but Yoko's wailing quickly drives you to insanity. At one point Yoko crawls into a bag and lays on the stage, unfortunately, she climbs out and finds her way back to the mic. Yer Blues and Cold Turkey are pretty interesting versions. Clapton looks stoned out of his gourd. All in all, nice DVD for a Lennon fan.

Review: This is only to say there are still more than 35 different wars around the globe.And millions of starving childrens and adults.I have always thought there is a solution for every problem. Although,I am not American I want to say that guns must be kept away from people,anywhere. You can learn things in life at a faster pace making a better place for all. To finish,I identify myself with LENNON because I am a rebel and open minded individual who defend my own rights wherever I am. Open to communicate with similar people. Sharp mind and cold heart. Good bye! .

The song starts off good, but then Yoko comes in with her "singing", and pretty much ruins the song. "Cold Turkey" and the early songs that are not John's are okay, and so is seeing J.L.Lewis and Chuck Berry rockin' out is cool. But the grand finale is Yoko "singing" two of the worst sounding "songs" ever. I know she was into avant garde type music and I appreciate that. I thought "Revoluion #9" was awesome and it worked well on the White Album, but this is just bad noise. I guess opposites do attract. (John-musical genius, Yoko-the oppostite of musical genius) Eric Clapton should have smashed his guitar right on her stupid head.
