Summary: The Best Buy !!!!!!!!!!!
Review: The thing with Pulse is the continuity ot the DVD. Superb in every sense- sight and sound. The balance between each instrument is studio-quality and the quality of finish is beyond comparison- even considering the length of the movie. Prior to viewing it, I was unconvinced that it would shine, but I was tansformed into a devout fan before the first song had played through. The lighting is the most amazing aspect of the movie as it creates such a mood that sets up the music amazingly well. The music, I found, even being a hard-core Pink Floyd fan was incredible, despite having heard all of the material in studio format. Really, though; this is not just a movie for the true Floydians, but is a musical masterpeice that HAS to be seen to be understood. Going to a gig will never be the same after you watch this: the finished product is the most spectacular concert ever recorded- without any shadow of a doubt. The best tracks stand up as Shine..., Coming Back To Life, the staggeringly beautiful One Of These Days and the supreme Comfortably Numb; the 30foot glitterball turning into a jellyfish type-thing finished the show in unthinkable glory- definitely one for the musicians and everyone else on the planet really- the best buy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: Do not miss this show !!!
Review: The world will probably not see another production like it. As the Floyd memebers age, and their desire to embark on long tours diminishes, its more likely that you will see Gilmour doing more small venue events like the 2002 Meltdown concert. Waters continues to march to his own drum and may tour in 2004 (perhaps your last chance to see and hear a Pink Floyd number with full stage production). However, if you have the inclination to see what happens when you plug some of the best music created into a most amazing modern light show, you owe it to yourself to experience Pulse.

Whether you are a fan of the post Waters Floyd or not, the imaculate fusion of light and sound in this production filmed at the end of the Division Bell tour is sure to impress. From the opening song, "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" to the encore of "Comfortably Numb", the show seems almost a dream of light and sound. Computer controlled lighting, lasers, smoke and props (yes the Pig does make a brief appearence) fill your screen as you soar through highlights of the Division Bell, a complete performance of Dark Side of the Moon, and highlights from other popular numbers in the catalogue.

Gilmour is at the top of his game and proves it throughout the show. The last solo of Comfortably Numb left me stunned. Wright, and Mason do their part of course but it is Gilmour who really shines. You truly get the sense that this finally IS Gilmour's band after so many years of keeping the peace. The band is augmented by very capable supporting players such as John Carin and back-up singers featuring Durga McBroom. Tim Renwick stands in on guitar as well. About the only thing that detracts from this nearly flawless show is the dated stylings and antics of the percussionist and bass player. While clearly capable, their dress and behavior on stage smacked of Duran Duran, and looked imbicilic when compared to Gilmour's calm style. But hey, all you have to do is watch Waters remake of "The Wall" in Berlin to see that in spades. Jeez...what a nightmare.Despite this small detraction, Pulse storms on, never ceasing to impress, awe, and amaze. The DVD is currently off the market but you can pick up copies on Yahoo and Ebay for the time being while Gilmour finalizes the re-release sometime hopefully this fall. However you come about it, do not miss this show.

Summary: GREAT CONCERT BUT NOT OFFICIALLY RELEASED.
Review: This is the best concert film ever made. I was lucky enough to see the Division Bell tour twice and it still stands as one of the best concerts i have ever seen. Now for all the Floyde Fans out there i say BEWARE as for this is NOT an officially released DVD (the official release should be sometime in 2004) this is a bootleg copy (VHS TO DVD) is has a fairly good picture (grainy) and the sound is decent-but it is not DVD quality as one might expect and also most of these copies do not play on NTSC formats but will play on computers that can play dvds. If you could play tis on any dvd player i would say get it its not a bad bootleg but since it is limited to playing on computers i would say wait for the official release. When this is released this will be a MUST HAVE for any FLOYD FAN. being Pink Floyd had announced they are no longer touring we can enjoy this Visually and musically stunning concert around along with the DARK SIDE OF THE MOON in its entirety and it truely will do Pink Floyd justice-as they are one of the Finest bands around.

Summary: Incredible show! Where's the official release?!
Review: This is the most amazing visual and audio experience ever! That having been said, where is the OFFICIAL release of this DVD? The currently available "Pulse" (1995) is a copy of the laserdisc. The song listing on the liner notes doesn't even correspond to the order on the DVD itself. This is an excellent "left market" DVD, but it is still not the widescreen, surround-sound extravaganza that the official band release would be. Hurry up with the OFFICIAL release!!!
