Summary: Elvis in Top Form
Review: The sound on this DVD is good. It is much better than on That's the Way it is. The picture quality is also excellent. Elvis' voice is great; he doesn't seem to put much effort into his older material (songs from the 1950's), though. This DVD is a must for Elvis fans.

Summary: Elvis Aloha From Hawaii
Review: As an Elvis fan for 26 years the above release blows me away! I can now say that I have seen what Elvis really looked like and sounded like. The picture on the disk is Amazing! as is the AC3 dolby digital sound. His voice and the band sound Fantastic. Well done to the DVD production company. Even if you are not an Elvis fan, this is well worh buying, and it may even make you a fan.

Summary: Excellent! A Must Have!
Review: This is a must have for Elvis fans! The sound was superb! I thought Elvis looked and sounded great. The only disappointment was that 3 songs, (I'm so lonesome I could cry, I can't stop loving you, and Johnny B. Goode) were deleted.

Summary: You can't complaint over the quality
Review: The sound and picture quality is excellent as pointed out in all other reviews. But I had hoped that they had re-edited some of the quick camera angle switches and the strange split screen cuttings. I suppose the original editing was made on set "live" when the performance took place. But if the master tapes still consists they should have had time to re arrange some parts - as I know they have done in some documntaries. But the sharpness in the pictures are brilliant, and as for the sound it is even better that on the digitally remastered CD.

Summary: A turning point in music history
Review: As he had done before Elvis again states his standing high above every entertainer in the world of music. Real fans might not see the fireworks they expect, but even Elvis can be nervous. His voice however is of a quality that one might never hear again. On this video one can see with how much concentration Elvis works to put on a show one might never forget. My way, Suspicious Minds, American Trilogy, Steamroller Blues, etc. These songs show Elvis as he should be remembered; An artist whose voice only made the hearts of millions of people jump over.

Summary: EVIS IS KING!
Review: Superb! Elvis like I've never heard him before. The sound quality is excellent in remastered Dolby Digital 5.1. It is like having Elvis perform in your living room live! The DVD has a very listenable warm sound unlike some DVD soundtracks that are overly bright.

I never noticed the tunnel sound one of the other reviewers complains about. Mind you we have Paradigm Reference speakers with a Denon Dolby Digital Receiver.

The only disappointment was that 3 songs were deleted due to problems in getting publishing clearance from the songs owners. Bonus songs include Blue Hawaii, Hawaiian Wedding Song, Ku-Ku-I-Po, Early Morning Rain and No More.

I am thrilled to have this DVD in my collection. Highly recommended to all Elvis Fans.

Summary: Elvis fans, beware
Review: I'm a big fan, and was excited about the DVD release of this concert. It's a huge disappointment! Three songs have been deleted because the producers wouldn't pay the royalties. And worse, the (remastered! ) 5.1 sound is horrible - parts of the orchestra and vocal backup have been placed arbitrarily in the rear which is not only distracting but gives the sonic effect of listening in a cave. It's surround alright, but a totally phony surround. Finally, the subwoofer output is almost nonexistent. Buyer, beware of this mess.

Summary: ELVIS IN HIS PRIME
Review: I HAVE VIEWED THIS VIDEO MANY TIMES SINCE PURCHASING IT. THE WAS A GRAND EXPERIENCE THAT BROUGHT BACK SOME REALLY GREAT MEMORIES OF ELVIS. MANY PEOPLE SAY THEY ARE ELVIS FANS; HOWEVER, ANY TRUE ELVIS FAN WOULD BE KICKING THEMSELF FOR NOT SEEING THIS CONCERT. IF YOU ARE A TRUE ELVIS FAN I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ADDING THIS VIDEO TO YOUR COLLECTION.

ROCK ON !

Summary: Fabulous quality video and incredible discrete stereo audio.
Review: This is by far the best quality video that has ever been released of this conceert. It has been released on two separate occasions. The audio is the first time it has been in stereo and until you hear it surround sound, hall mode, you've heard nothing at all. You are there in this video, picture quality and sound. Congratulations to the estate for redoing this in such high quality. They have done the same thing with the rehearsal show.
