Summary: Hunka Hunka Burnin' Love..
Review: Well I am an Elvis fan, so I am going to be biased here... It was a great concert, but if I am going to be critical it wasn't, of course, up to his '70 concert in Las Vegas. But as he got into this performance I think he relaxed up a little and got back a bit more of his old style. But where was the mover & shaker of previous years? Still, 30 years down the track this is what we have left and I enjoy it because it is Elvis.. and I don't think you should pass this one up either.

Summary: Taking pressure in stride
Review: I have read many of the reviews previously posted - and very few are really reliable.

I think most people forget the enormous pressure this man was under. He had to deliver a perfect perfomance that would be seen by 1-1.5 billion people LIVE via satellite (the first satellite broadcast in history I might add).

He had many restrictions put on him, because of the camera positions and such. He had to take a number of medications to reduce his weight to the point required by the shows producers, (a weight he only reached less than a week prior to shooting the rehearsal). NOBODY else in the world could have pulled this show off like Elvis did. He really took it all in his stride.

I saw the live broadcast in '73 - and I wish it looked and sounded like this DVD.

Summary: Great Performance
Review: This is a Classic. The music, the style, the moment are just great. Elvis sings incredible, a different one from TTII or 68's come back special which makes it more interesting. Elvis like never seen before (at that moment).

Summary: The Best Elvis Performance Out There
Review: Okay, maybe I'm biased. The day Elvis broadcast his Aloha From Hawaii concert also happens to be the day I was born. One of my older brothers used to play this album ALL the time, so I was familiar with the concert. The 1968 comeback special was great, but this concert is the penultimate for ANY music fan.

Summary: Elvis' Aloha Concert
Review: This concert sure defines "show business".After watching the show at a newly remastered video and sound,Elvis' smile, women screaming in the audience..delivering his tunes for an hour. This is a Grade A,stamped Guaranteed concert.Just watching the man perform...naturally takes you for a ride.It gives you an idea how showmanship should be.When he sings "Fever"he does his ol'1957 hip swingin' a few times immediatly the crowd"oohhhh"s to every movement he does.really cool.Didn't really enjoy the songs he sang after the show though..his hair style isn't that neat and stands in one place in what seems like a long time, but overall get the video and crank it.

Summary: Elvis Pulled it off!
Review: As someone who grew up with Elvis in our household, I can only say that Aloha From Hawaii is a concert I truly enjoy, and have listened to, and watched so many times I couldn't tell you. For me, seeing it digitally remastered is where I appreciate this release. I think it is a shame that some songs are taken out, but I have an earlier release in good shape so it doesn't matter too much. To the dedicated fan you can see that Elvis is clearly ill at ease during the begining of the show, but only at the begining of the show! Elvis lifts himself in the end to pull off a fantastic performance. It is a fact that Elvis was clearly full of drugs during his time in Hawaii, but we all know about that anyway, why must we dwell on the negatives when he left us with such an enormous legacy.

Summary: ELVIS, Thank YOU very much for this performance!!!
Review: The year was 1973. Elvis Presley was presented with an offer to perform in the first ever satellite broadcasted concert. Why offer it to ELVIS? Because no one but Elvis could make all the eyes in the world turn in unison to view a glorious example of human art, passion, and complete intensity. That is what defines Elvis, and these traits are more present than ever in Elvis: Aloha From Hawaii. From Also Sprach Zarathustra, to Can't Help Falling in Love, this concert is a solid hour of adrenaline, art, and supreme talent. Elvis worked hard to get himself into great physical condition before this show and his work was apparent when he poured himself into the American Eagle jumpsuit designed by Bill Belew. This is ELVIS in Hawaii, the earthly paradise that he loved the most. Elvis is happy on this stage, and the fans are overcome with the joy of seeing the greatest entertainer in history. Just how many fans saw this show? Let's put it this way...more people tuned in to see Elvis: Aloha From Hawaii than they did when a man named Neil Armstrong walked on the moon. Is that historic? Or is that just Elvis?

Summary: Soundly Disappointed!
Review: Owned the LP record of this concert in the late 70s. It had wonderful highs (Elvis recognises "the girl with the beautiful high voice") and lows that I believe came from a French Horn. Am very disappointed that neither of these come through clearly and with emphasis on the DVD sound track, even though played on modern and sophisticated system.

Summary: The King at his Best
Review: The performance that ELVIS delievers is fantastic. The concert was recorded in 1973 but the DVD quality is great and makes you feel you were there. If you are an ELVIS fan you must own this DVD. You will not regret it.

Summary: Elvis' Best Concert Performance To Date!!
Review: I've seen this concert many times in the past but I was astounded by the remarkable quality of this DVD. The picture quality and incredible surround-stereo imaging was amazing. The have taken this film to a brand new level. If you love Elvis do not pass up this project.
