Summary: breath taking
Review: Hi guys, I'm listening at the DVD right now, and I'm shaking. If you're a clapton fan and don't have the DVD yet, get closer to the screen so I can slap you :-)
Hey, It's like I died and went to heaven. Clapton aka "slow hand" or "the god" is the only artist you will really enjoy and apreciate...
Buy it now and forget about sky diving... This concert is a rush, a breath of fresh air

Summary: Old slow hand..not so slow!
Review: I am totally gobsmacked to hear some people say that Clappers is'nt as good a guitarist as he used to be. He has clearly became more fluid than ever and some really sophisticated slides and moves.I sit in awe at his abillity and each time I play this dvd I think of who is actually better, considering different styles as well. I think "Five long years" is my favourite track. I really enjoy Son Seals and many other pluckers but Clapton will always be the greatest for me. Too bad he does'nt find time to get down here very often, what.

Summary: EC at his best!
Review: I bought this DVD a number of years ago when it was first released and I get more from it each time I watch. There is an obvious chemistry between Eric and the band.

My only criticism is not of the performance of the band, (brilliant), but of the director.

Why, oh why, did the director of this DVD think we wanted to see long shots of the stage, close-ups of the crowd, or the back of EC's head, when he's in the middle of some of the best guitar solos you're ever likely to see?

Summary: Mesmerizing
Review: I have followed Eric Clapton for many years. This DVD brings it all...great "licks", vocals and backups. Eric has truly mastered his art. If you are not truly a Clapton Fan..you will be after watching and listening to the great one!!!

Summary: Coffee & Clapton!
Review: I only view this one when I arise on Saturdays, and holidays. It is a glorious, outdoor concert that opens with the acoustic version of "Layla", and finds him predominantly accompanied by players that are not regularly part of his usual touring ensemble. He has a horn section, and a marvelous harmonica player in tow. It all comes together immediately with a great show of Clapton classics that include the only version of "I Shot the Sheriff" that he has yet released on DVD. Eric grins as he glances back to Steve Gadd's drum kit during his impressive improvisational solo during this number.

I have all his releases to date, but this one just seems to be the perfect way to start a weekend, or any day with Clapton's always professionally presented sampling of his many hits, and blues standards. It never gets better than this!

Summary: Great music- Mediocre Dvd
Review: I put this on my Santa List after reading these reviews, and have to say I am sorely disappointed. I find it very hard to understand why so many 5stars on this one. The music is great, and wished I had just got the CD instead. The DVD, the visual part, is not very provocative. The outdoor concert is fine, but the lighting not so good. Clapton plays great, but not much in the way of enthusiasm. Much of the time he looks like he's overly concentrating on what he's doing (which he is doing wonderfully) or someone in the band is in the wrong key, or something just isn't working right - he often looks a bit annoyed. The camera angle cuts, like so many of these DVD concerts are so fricking fast you have no time to consume them. Like I say, it's a great concert, for the music, just not the visual quality I want in a DVD production.

Summary: Eric Clapton proves his is GOD
Review: I received this review copy several years ago now. That interest has come and gone, affliation with that site has waned.

But I still have not seen a better music DVD. If my house catches fire, I'm taking this DVD with me!

Out of all the DVDs I've got, this one is the pinnacle of production and material.

My admiration for Clapton waned a bit when he diverted to more mainstream music - I am not a big fan of the unplugged series.

However there's no doubt that Clapton is the finest guitarist and musician of our age. He has become that humble legend.

Two songs stand out for me - "I Shot The Sheriff" and "Old Love". Very few songs draws out emotions in me, these two brings a tear to my eye. He guitar solos are supernatural. I think the audience has a moment of silence when he ends because they are dumbstruck by such a 'GODLIKE' performance. Other guitarists can try to emulate Clapton but they come out looking like they masturbating with a cheap Ibanez.

Played back on a state of the art DTS surround system, it's almost as good as being there. Play it on a rainy day!

I have captured them on CD and play them in my car - it's uplifting, life changing music. I'm certain our grandchildren will be looking at this DVD and they'll stare back in wonder when you say "I went to an Eric Clapton concert".

Summary: Awesome!!!!
Review: I was just able to pick up this DVD and it is incredible! The sound and picture quality are A-1 (I play it through stereo equipment instead of the TV speakers) Clapton's playing is STILL the best even after 30 years (he even makes a reference to it being the first time he was back in Hyde Park to perform in 30 years). I felt like I was there too (I wish!!!) If you are a Clapton fan grab this one - it won't disappoint!
