Summary: This DVD is the best!!
Review: Do yourself a favor and purchase this collectors item. It is truly Roy Orbison at his best. The 5.1 digital sound was great. The backup singers were on the back speakers,while the singing and band were on the front. The sound could not be any better, it was like being at the "live" concert sitting in the front row. Also the Amazon.com service was excellent.

Review: I remember this man when I was a teenager in the 60's. What a voice... The consumate professional and an all-star supporting cast(although as much as I like Elvis Costello he should not play harmonica). Excellent Dolby 5.1, it justifies the expense of an AC-3 system. I wish it had lasted another 20-30 minutes...

Summary: An Incredible Experience
Review: There's nothing more I can add to what has already been said by others. I can only reiterate. This is an amazing concert and the DVD production, both audio and video, are superb. It is one the of most, if not the most, thrilling DVDs in my entire 80 DVD collection. Fabulous. Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous. After one of the songs I felt strangely embarassed for not applauding, and then remembered that I really wasn't there. This concert, this experience, is that good; a final and lasting gift from Roy Orbison.

Review: Too bad you can only award 5 stars, this deserves 6. Almost every music concert DVD worth having is in my collection, and this is one of the best. This is an almost technically perfect video and audio editing job,...difficult for a 12 yr old production. Buy it.Roy's voice is haunting, just as it was in the '60's. As k.d. Lang says: "... Roy doesn't sing song's, he sings epics."

Review: This is one of the greatest concerts in the World. Greatest artists and great songs, black and white is a very appropriate mood and make this one of the best videos in history. The DVD also has 3 sound system for your selection: stereo, dolby 5.1 and DTS 5.1. Pretty Woman is one of best rock songs in the rock history.

Review: The way Orbison's voice sounds is simply incredible. From operatic ballads to rocking classics, this video has it all. Black and White Night is the most appropriate title for this almost eerie performance. It's truly amazing and definitely one of the finest performances ever captured on video. If there is indeed a Rock N' Roll heaven, this is what it's like. BUY IT!

Review: If you possess an AC3 - 5.1 digital home theater, this DVD is sure to astound. Orbison's vocals are extraordinary yet effortless. The band is phenomenal and the background vocals are so vivid, you'd swear that the performers were standing right behind you. Filmed in classic black and white, you will feel as if you're an audience member . This is truly one of the finest recordings available. A must for the devout audiophile!

As the video starts you hear people (mainly high profile celebrities) all around you waiting in anticipation for this musical legend to begin crooning. As the music starts, the crowd behind you quiets, and the sweet live sound of Mr. Orbison's music surrounds you. When he finally begins to sing, the hair on the back of your neck will stand on end. Truly amazing! This is one of the best sounding DVD's I own. If you like good music give this one a try. If you are a Roy Orbison fan, simply buy it.
