Review: After so much time of searching for new material regarding my number one idol, I found: "The World tour: 1966".
If you want a tip, get this: The video is a complete waste of time. It's more kind of a monologue of the drummer telling personal experiences of the places he had the chance to visit. Believe me that for that purpose, it's much better to watch the Discovery Channel.
It's hard to find an Image of Bob Dylan playing or anything partially interesting. Most of the video focus on the author inside a studio.
I do not regret so much the fact of spending for the video. The quality is more less equal to the price of buying it. What I really think of it, is like an attempt of making money and fame by using other person's imagination and talent.
Thank you for the chance to express what is just my personal opinion, even though I think that most of the people that have seen the video would agree with me.

Summary: AMAZING TELL-ALL BY A PARTICIPANT!!!!!!!
Review: For over twenty years, I listened to the Dylan '66 bootlegs and stared at the names involved, wondering, who the hell is Mickey Jones. Finally, I now know.
This is a wonderful retelling, and wonderfully honest, "what really happened" document, told not by a researcher, but by an actual participant in the event. The '66 tour, which has to be considered the greatest "rock tour" ever, where everything changed, is finally discussed by one who was there.
I have watched this disc with other Dylan fans, and everyone, without fail, was mesmerized, each, and every time.
I can understand somebody thinking this is Dylan's actual home movies, but, get serious. This is not a Paris Hilton production. You're gonna be disappointed if you think this is DON'T LOOK BACK 2, or, EAT THE DOCUMENT. But if you already own Don't Look Back, and love Dylan, adding this to your collection is not a mistake.
Mickey's life is truly one interesting tale, and how he came to be on the tour is fascinating, and his memories about the tour, which he seems eager to share with anyone who's interested, are great.
If you're into Dylan, especially 1966 Dylan, this is a real treat.

Review: This is definitely one for hard core fans. If you read the box it's pretty clear what it is - and it doesn't take much to guess what 37 year old 8mm footage looks like! Mickey's amusing and interesting at times and there's the odd section that gives you a bit of a feel for what the tour was like - but it's not great. It is however what there is, apart from "eat the document". So if you're hard core buy it with your head on (I wonder what some peole thought they were going to see/hear for this price!)and if you're not then steer clear.

Review: This abomination deserves minus-4 stars. As numerous others have expressed, its title and packaging are deplorably misleading. This video is not about Dylan, includes no Dylan performances at all, and has the worst production values of any DVD in recent memory. Even the background track is composed entirely of some pathetic Dylan imitator(!) Obviously, anyone who is misled into actually paying for this abysmally produced piece of crap quickly feels victimized. Think you'll at least find engaging "home videos" of Dylan on his 1966 tour? Guess again! The lower-standard-than-acceptable home movies are mostly of airplane wings, airport facades, streets, buildings. A few seconds at most are devoted to Dylan, with no sound whatsoever. Unfortunately, I bought this fraudulent lemon completely blind, before having read any of the reviews. I can vouch with 100% accuracy and conviction that all the negative reviews you will read here are too kind. I can guarentee that absolutely none of the positive reviews have been submitted by genuine purchasers, but rather by people who have some financial gain to derive from the sale of this incredibly awful release. The narrator/"star", some unknown, haggard wannabe drummer-bit actor, is annoyingly ineloquent and exruciatingly boring. Like the vast majority of reviewers here, I wish could get my money back, but even more than that, I wish I had never bothered ordering this lame item to begin with. Hold your nose, fans: it's a stinker.

Summary: Dylan Film is an INCREDIBLE piece of Rock history!
Review: This video provides us with an incredible view of Rock and Roll history through the eyes of a man who experienced that history first hand. Drummer Mickey Jones was the keeper of the beats on the 1966 Bob Dylan tour that shook the world. In addition he played with Trini Lopez, and Johnny Rivers. Mickey had the forsight to bring along his 35 mm hand held camera and film some of his adventures. To hear him recount his stories as we watch his home movies from 1966 is truly awesome. It is like sitting at your kitchen table at 4:30 in the morning, sipping whiskey and hearing incredible first hand accounts about the Beatles, Otis Redding, Bob Dylan and the Band.
This disc is for die hard and true fans of music and music history. Being one of those people and being a musician, I rank this as one of the top ten music films I have ever seen.

Review: Complete rip off. Like buying a bag of oregano. Dylan appears only briefly and entire video was filmed without any sound. Mickey Jones narrates the whole thing and more than half is just him sitting in his studio being interviewed. Jones is disgusting to look at and so is this video.

Summary: RIP OFF
Review: First time I've written a review. If I buy a DVD or CD that I don't like, well, that's my bad luck and I write it off. But this DVD is a rip-off. Why is there a photo of Dylan on the cover? He is rarely seen and never heard. Any members of The Band interviewed besides Jones? NO. If you enjoy looking at bad home movie shots of the Hawaiian coast or look-alike cities in AUstralia, then have fun. If you think you are going to see or hear Bob Dylan and the Band- forget it. DO NOT BUY THIS DVD!During his interview here, Jones talks about how much money he's made - why did he have to resort to this? He could have put his own picture on the cover, but oh, how many people would have wasted their money on it then?

Review: I'm 40 minutes in, some quick shots of Dylan, but no real Bob.
Should be called "Mickey Reminisces." He has some stories to tell and a lot of bad footage. I'm not watching any more.
Buyer beware. If you're smart, don't be a buyer.

Review: Mickey Jones story was interesting, so was the Home movies. But like everyone else I thought it would have concert footage on it.(Which it dosen't AT ALL). And I'm still wondering "Why was it put in 5.1 surround sound?
