Summary: It's their own fantastic imagination.
Review: We just think of the Beatles as one of the greatest musicians in the world, however almost every beatlemanias want them to be regarded as the real artists who did a wonderful reformation of the pop music world, and they actually influenced classical music fields so much. Like Elvis, they wanted to be movie stars also, but somewhat not successful, their films are just valuable to the collectors of any rarities. They have 5 movies, including magical mystery tour, a hard day's night, help, let it be, and a color cartoon-yellow submarine, but I think 4 except for this movie is not so good for those who love to listen to 60's. Magical Mystery Tour conveys us a kind of their real experimental way of music and spirit of creation, what creation? whatever... I mean we can see the very real faces of their thoughts and style of going thru 60's. In this aspect MMT is really worth watching. What's more you can taste their lovely, psychedelic songs there.

Summary: You really have to like the Beatles to get the most of this
Review: "A Hard Day's Night" is my vote for the best Beatle movie ever. This one provides a great deal of their sordid British humor, but one really needs to like the Beatles and to have an open mind to really enjoy this film. I thought it was fun, but not their best work. You can't beat the music, though.

Summary: One of my all-time favorites
Review: This movie is among my favorites (along with the Beatles Yellow Submarine and Help!). The five magicians who control where the bus goes and if it's occupants are enjoying themselves are hillarious, and the psychedelic view out the bus window is great! My favorite scene, however, is in the "tent" with the Bonzo Dog Band (a great song and band!) I highly recommend this film to any fan of later 60s psychedelia - you'll love it!!

Summary: An incredible magical mystery tour, indeed!
Review: Although the film was criticized rather badly when it first aired on BBC tv, back in 1967, this film has gone to my TOP TEN films, Star Wars being #1 and. MMT ranks 4th. This is an awesome film as it captures not only the Beatles in action, but it also captures music videos for such songs as The Fool on the Hill, Flying, I am the Walrus etc. This is a good film to STUDY if you plan on making films in the future. Only 50 minutes, but if you love the Beatles, you'll like this film!!!

Review: This video is one of the best movies of the beatles collection but does not tell all the story

Summary: THIS VIDEO IS A MUST FOR A TRUE FAN
Review: THIS VIDEO IS VERY FUNNY. IT STARTED OUT AS A TOUR OF THE BRITISH COUNTRY-SIDE. THE BEATLES WERE GOING TO GATHER A GROUP OF PEOPLE TOGHETHER ON A BUS, AND FILM WHAT HAPPENED. NOTHING HAPPENED, SO THEY FILMED SOME MORE. THEY FILMED SOME MUSIC 'VIDEOS' FOR 'THE FOOL ON THE HILL' IN FRANCE, AND OTHER SONGS FROM THE ALBUM. PLUS, YOU GET TO GUESS WHO THE WALRUS WAS. ONE OF MY FAVORITE PARTS WAS WHEN JOHN HAD HIS HAIR SLICKED BACK, AND WAS A WAITER. HE KEPT FEEDING THIS FAT LADY(RINGOS' AUNT) SPAGEHETTI WITH A SHOVEL, AND HAD A EXPRESSION ON HIS FACE LIKE HE WAS MAD(CRAZY), AND CRACKING UP. PAUL MCCARTNEY WAS THE DIRECTOR OF THE MOVIE, BECAUSE HE WAS THE ONE THAT WAS THERE MOST OF THE TIME. THIS MOVIE IS UP THERE WITH HELP, A LAUGH A MINUTE. I LOVED IT.

Summary: brilliant, funny, fantastic, clever, trippy, groovy, movie
Review: i am sick of people complaining becasue they could find the plot well thats because there isn't one
the funniest bit of the movie is when the lennon wizard comes in and says 'talk about magical mystery, i spent half an hour looking for that sugar' other great bit include when 'flying' starts and 'i am the walrus!!!!'dont even get me started on that wonderful, also when ' your mother should know' starts is also a gas

Summary: Possible Bootlegged Copy
Review: I got my copy from raretshirts. I'm glad I have a copy on DVD. However, I was disappointed with the quality of the film. It's much like others have said. It is grainy, the color is washed out, and, in my opinion, it's just a transfer from a VHS copy.

The description that you read about the film gives you the impression that the behind-the-scenes material and newsreels will be on the DVD. Not on this one!! Because of that, I was really disappointed. I probably would've given the DVD another star if those things were on there.

In my opinion, if these are the only copies floating out there currently, then get one. But don't pay that much for it. I think I paid too much for the one I got.

Summary: Quite possibly the most terrible movie I have ever seen...
Review: This movie is not about any one thing
in particular, except maybe the Beatles
and their adventures on acid... who
wouldn't want to watch this. For one
it's the biggest band in rock and roll
history.. no scrap that, the biggest
band in history, and they're doing
phsycedellic drugs. This is the Beatles
the way they should be... enjoy it.

Summary: crazy but fun
Review: I agree...as a regular movie this is not very enjoyable,
but it's not a regular movie, it's more of an Art-House
film.

Don't expect to see the four lovable mop-tops
you saw in "A Hard Day's Night"
NO- this is one freaky, messed up flick!
A completely different side of the Beatles.

In my opinion, it's fun to watch!
So weird and full of goofy characters,
and the music performances are great!

I'm pretty sure the Beatles were the very
first popular band to make a movie like this.
Magical Mystery Tour was made before
Pink Floyd's "The Wall"...before The Who's "Tommy"
even before Frank Zappa's 200 Motels

It's not for everyone, but still a unique
piece of music history!
