Rating: Summary: through the past brightly Review: Captured in the early 80's, this DVD shows the Stones at their best during the Still Life Tour. Solid rock'n'roll, brilliant guitar duets (Keith/Ronnie) and Mick Jagger at the top (last, but not least, Ernie Watts on sax...). I saw the film over 20 years ago, but it disappeared since then. A nice surprise. I recommend it.

Rating: Summary: I've been trying to find this movie on VHS/ DVD for 20 years Review: I have a 22 year old VHS copy of this movie taped from TV and it is very shaky and its sound is not great.
In Australia this is a film directed by Hal Ashby called
"TIME IS ON OUR SIDE".
No videos sales in Australia could find a copy and once
the internet arrived "TIME IS ON OUR SIDE" could not be found
as it's called "LETS SPEND THE NIGHT TOGETHER" in the US.
It could not be found by looking up HAL ASHBY either(!!!)
I found it on the net by accident 1 month ago!
The closest thing to it is the album "STILL LIFE" but it is not a soundtrack of the film,is not live and is nothing in comparison (!!!)
BUT ABOUT THIS MOVIE ON DVD (!!!)
THIS IS THE GREATEST LIVE PERFORMANCE OF THE ROLLING STONES EVER
CAPTURED ON FILM.
LARGELY AS IT IS A FILM NOT OF ONE CONCERT BUT THE BEST SONGS FROM AN ENTIRE "CONCERT TOUR"
OF THE USA, THE "Still Life" TOUR OF 1981.
THIS IS THE ROLLING STONES AT THEIR VERY BEST.
THIS IS A 'ROLLING STONES' WE WILL NEVER SEE AGAIN.
THIS IS A MOVIE TO TREASURE.
WHAT MORE CAN I SAY(???).
Rating: Summary: THE LAST GREAT STONES DVD Review: The STONES before they became a self-parody! This was filmed in 1981-1982, and they sound like a rock'n'punk band. They look GREAT, too, especially KEEF!! This DVD is an absolute MUST for every STONES fan. Some may be taken aback by the raw sound and lack of special effects in a stadium tour, but this was before the band was adding back-up singers and banks of horns, THANK GOD! If you wanna know what The Rolling Stones REALLY sound like, THIS is it!!! The picture quality is VERY good and the sound is great - much better than I thought it would be, considering the age of this concert tour. Didn't think this would ever come out on DVD, so I'm thrilled!
