Summary: One reason to buy: The Who!!!
Review: Once again, the Who show just why they are the greatest Rock and Roll band to ever walk the earth. There show was simply amazing. To hear the ovation they got at the end was truly shocking. They get it started with Who Are You and Pete is just amazing in his windmilling. Entwistle keeps it all together on bass and Daltrey gets the crowd going, while Starkey does a fine job on drums. Baba O'reilly and the reaction the crowd gives after hearing the first few cords brings goosebumps to everyone. Daltrey shows hes still go it with a killer harmonica solo in the end. Behind Blue Eyes brings everyone down to tears, only to pick us up again at the end of the song. And in Wont Get Fooled Again, Townshend and Entwistle go crazy, while Daltrey wails away at our ear drums. Starkeys drum solo at the end is just fantastic, and Daltrey gives one more screaming "Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" at the end. They were simply amazing. As Billy Crystal said, they "Just blew me away. Absolutely blew me away."

Summary: The Best Concert Ever...With a Few Exceptions
Review: Overall, 99% of this concert is very good. David Bowie, the Who, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Paul McCartney and Elton John all played fantastic sets here. But I have a problem with some of the other music. Eric Clapton plays "I'm Your Hoochie Coochie Man," totally unreated to 9/11. Jay-Z also had no business appearing at this show, especially if the only piece he can come up with is "H to the Izzo." My other complaint is that this DVD is incomplete. Two Paul McCartney songs, one Eric Clapton song, one Goo Goo Dolls' first song, and a good cover of "With a Little Help From My Friends" are all missing. The entire 6-hour concert could've easily been released. But what's here, for the most part, is very good. So on the whole, this is a good buy.

Summary: THE best concert in history.
Review: Paul McCartney, the Who, the Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Elton John, David Bowie. This is a once-in-a-lifetime gathering of stars playing a benifit concert for 9/11. Most of the artists do a good job of choosing appropriate material -- Paul McCartney's "I'm Down" and "Yesterday." The Who's "Behind Blue Eyes" and "Won't Get Fooled Again." Yet some do not -- Jay-Z's "H To The Izzo" or Jimmy Falon's "'80's Medly." Nevertheless, however, we will never have another concert like this again.

Summary: a surprise!
Review: The concert was a bit long, featuring some very poor performances. I was actually blown away, however by THE WHO. For someone who has never seen them, and has heard very few of their songs I was floored! GREAT JOB!! Paul McCartney was good,as well as james Taylor and Jagger and Richards.

Summary: If it were only this easy to pervert history ALL the time...
Review: The music here is not my complaint (it's mostly bland but occasionaly quite stirring)-it's VH1's pathetic attempt to alter history. The crowd BOOED Hillary Clinton at the concert (quite heartily,I might add) but on this DVD you hear cheers-WHY? The crowd assembled were sending a message-why would VH1 risk ruining it's reputation(no jokes here please!) by insulting our intelligence and twisting history to protect their favorite politican? You know what,I wish I could revisit history and change the things I don't like,too...I'd start by erasing the terroristic acts that made this DVD a reality. Shame on VH1...

Summary: One Important Thing is Missing
Review: The only thing that is missing from this DVD is when Hillary Clinton came onstage, she was heartly booed. I have the live video from VH1 and it is funny to watch. I was at the show, and people where shouting at her and her husband.

Besides that The Who stole the show....

Summary: An Unforgetable Experience, Even On DVD
Review: The only way a person could truely understand the impact of this concert is if they were there, which I was. Here you will find some of the greatest musicians of all time performing together. Where else would you find Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, The Who, Elton John, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, James Taylor, and so many other founding fathers of rock n' roll, all in one concert? Just look at the bill and you will see why it is one of the greatest concerts ever performed. Having it on DVD is a way to experience it all over again.

Summary: A Must Have
Review: These DVD is packed with great and emotional experiences and performances. At the time this event really helped to start our healing and helped to get us through those terrible times. This DVD is a must have commemorative of that day and that time. And a commemorative of the start of our healing. As far as the performances go they were all great; but I have to say, The Who just stole the show, they were on fire.
