Summary: FANTASTIC!
Review: For too long I have tried to find a concert album/DVD of Eric Clapton that did him justice. Quite frankly, after five or six, going back to the 60's, I was fixing to hang-it-up. Infact, I had stopped looking several years ago, and it was only when I was looking for something else that I stumbled across this gem. With a little old (Layla, Cocaine, Sunshine of Your Love), new (Reptile), some ballads (Tears in Heaven), and standards (Hoochie Coochie Man), this DVD is a great collection of his best work. What's really amazing is that the sounds are so clear, so concise, it's what a concert DVD should be like.Plus, you get a surprise near the end when the late Billie Preston sings and dances to "Will it Go Round in Circles." If you buy this and you are disappointed, I'd start questioning whether you really liked Clapton, or just liked saying you liked Clapton.

Summary: Simply Perfection
Review: Great sound quality (and yes, I cranked it!), perfect picture quality, and a perfect performance. No dvd features, but I never really gave a rat's behind about those to begin with. When the main program is this good, you don't need anything else. Highlights: "My Father's Eyes", "Change the World", "Wonderful Tonight". Weirdest song choice, "Over the Rainbow", but it works well and while it's tough to top Judy's version this one is worthy. I have great admiration for Mr. Clapton and the musicians that make up his band. If you do too, don't hesistate to purchase this dvd.

Summary: Slightly disappointed
Review: Having followed EC for many years I was slightly disappointed. He seemed to be a little lethargic ... although everything was very well orchestrated...use this basis
Compare EC's Sunshine of Your Smile with Jack Bruce and Peter Frampton's version on Ringo Starr's Allstars so far..and Jack Bruce and Peter Frampton are outstanding on both guitars and vocals.

Review: I already have Live at Hyde Park and Unplugged so wasn't really interested in purchasing this until I borrowed a friends copy.
Happy to say I was pleasantly surprised. Quality sound and video with many camera shots of supporting members, especially Steve Gadd.

Summary: Bored Out Of My Ever Lovin' Skull!!
Review: I had high expectations for this dvd, after seeing EC in concert at the Charlotte Coliseum, during the "Reptile Tour". In fact, the day after this particular show, he announced that this would be his last tour. Those of us who attended the concert that night, had a feeling this was coming, because the last number was a soft, melencholy version of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow". Ours, was one of the few venues on the tour that had an appearance by "The Impressions", the group which sang with him on "Reptile". We loved it!! But, this is not a concert review; so, let's move straight to my thoughts on the dvd, itself.
I must say, I felt monetarily violated after purchasing this dvd. First, I didn't get the feeling that Clapton was into the show. He looked as though he were going through the motions, without really enjoying it. It just has an empty feeling to it.
Unfortunately, most of the songs he performed were a re-hash of the same stuff on his last two dvd releases. How many different ways can you possibly play "Hoochie Coochie Man"? I loved it on "Live In Hyde Park". It was still, pretty good on "EC and Friends" (1999). But, you've done it to death, man! Let it rest in peace, for cryin' out loud! Than there's "Change The World" and "Tears In Heaven"....yada, yada, yada.... Yeah, we've all heard them a gajillion times now. Thank goodness he included some tracks from his new album, to offset these played-out tunes.
The only reason this hideous swill is even getting 2 stars from me, is because of a couple of great songs... First, an acoustic version of "Bell Bottom Blues". This was very nicely arranged; adding a breath of fresh air to a timeless classic. The second song is "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" (already commented on above).
Yet, I have 2 issues with the last one.... What the heck kind of instrument was his keyboard player using in his mouth? That stupid thing was so stinkin' annoying! I wish I could have been there to literally rip the cord out of it's socket!! (Wah, wah, wah, wah - Oh, brother! Give me a break!)
My other issue has to do with one of the camera angles they used. The whole dvd is this superbly, crisp, high-definition deal. And, then, on the last song, one of the camera shots is completely washed out. It's almost as if you're looking at the band though a blue, lense filter. What's the deal with that? Did no one catch this?
Finally, knowing that this was being recorded for video release... Why didn't he have "The Impressions" there? I mean, c'mon Eric! At least, then you could have performed "Don't Let Me Be Lonely Tonight", which was a great cover of James Taylor's song, on "Reptile".
Well, if this is the best he can do, maybe he should retire. Anyway, don't waste your money on this one. I'll probably wind up selling mine on ebay!

Summary: A Must-Have for any E.C. fan!
Review: I have been a lifetime fan of Eric Clapton...literally. I'm 21 years old and while most other kids were listening to Raffi growing up, my dad had me listening to stuff Eric Clapton, The Rolling Stones and Fleetwood Mac.
This is an amazing DVD, and Eric sounds as good as ever! Some of my favorite tracks are: Layla (of course!), Bell Bottom Blues, My Father's Eyes, Badge, Tears in Heaven, and Sunshine of Your Love. Having seen him live recently, I can say this is pretty darn close to the real thing. Another great DVD to check out (actually might be a little better) is Eric Clapton and Friends, which has Phil Collins on the drums, and performing 'In the Air Tonight'....awesome.

Review: I have now lost count of how many times I have watched this DVD. The sound quality, songs and performance by Eric and the band will leave you speechless. I recommended purchasing the CD/DVD set. You won't regret it. Its worth every penny.

Review: I REALLY ENJOYED THIS CONCERT. THE KEYBOARD GUY WAS SENSATIONAL AND ERIC PLAYED LIKE ERIC USUALLY DOES..GREAT. ANOTHER REALLY GOOD PERFORMANCE BY ONE OF THE GREAT PICKERS EVER. I'M VERY GLAD TO OWN THIS ONE.

Review: I saw the concert in Boston and enjoyed it the most out of the 3 times I have had the honor of seeing Eric Clapton in concert. This concert was special with Eric doing an opening acoustic set, the firt song (Key to the Highway) all by himself without the band onstage. The entire show is here from start to finish for anyone who actually attended this concert tour. Great sound and video quality, recommended. The double cd release is also recommended.
